yes, that is an unfortunate word the KJV uses. The Hebrew word is male' that just means "to fill". There has been a lot of confusion over that word. It just is saying to fill the earth; in the original.

You are not taking what Jesus said literal enough. The question was "can a man go back into him mothers womb?" Born of water simply means born of a woman, of the water in the womb. The second birth is your spirit being born of the Spirit... it has nothing to do with water baptism!
