Separation of Church and State a Red Herring.

That depends on who you think God is and what He is like. Adam and Eve were given a choice. That they chose wrong didn't invoke retribution or revenge, but discipline to encourage right living in the future. When they sinned, they hid expecting God to kill them because of the promise, In the day...

What exactly is ''resting'' on the Sabbath as to keeping it 'Holy'?

Here is an excellent succinct response as to why obedience to God's commandments are essential in order to gain eternal life.. ... but you are asking the wrong question. Classic straw man and red herring. As i said in another post, our obedience does not justify, only the blood of Christ does...

What exactly is ''resting'' on the Sabbath as to keeping it 'Holy'?

In all the years I've observed the sabbath, I have never heard anyone claim Sabbath observance, or obedience to any of God's laws, contributes to justification. However, in defence of NOT observing the Sabbath I constantly hear many making claims as you do here, that those who observe the...

What exactly is ''resting'' on the Sabbath as to keeping it 'Holy'?

When that happens we become our own authority, in other words, god.

Separation of Church and State a Red Herring.

My choice to worship God and honour Him according to conscience is absolutely my choice, regardless what the government thinks. They can and likely will throw me in jail or kill me after trying to bribe me with threats against house and income (the mark), but they cannot rule over the heart.

Separation of Church and State a Red Herring.

Because no-one else can see through your contradictory arguments. You have correctly stated we are to live separately from the world. Excellent. Then you state that the church and state is not, and never should be, separated. Elsewhere you speak about the worldliness of modern education and I...

Separation of Church and State a Red Herring.

You have look a bit deeper than simple declarations of belief. Yes, the RCC acknowledges Jesus as the Son of God, but at the same time utterly deny Him by refusing to acknowledge justification through His blood. They are a church committed to salvation by works. Investigate the significance...

Separation of Church and State a Red Herring.

Then where did I get it from? Who gave it to me, this choice of how and who to worship? I'm cheering for the kingdom of God. As everyone says. You, and everyone else, is wrong. ? Actually it's greatly more nuanced than that. Obsessed with being saved through politics? Not really. Obsessed...

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. ” Isaiah 33:22 KJV https://www.unfeignedbible.app/Isaiah.33.22 “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: ” John 5:22 KJV https://www.unfeignedbible.app/John.5.22 “33...

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

The Spirit of the law is a secular construct. When Jesus equated lust with the physicall act, He was explaining what the 7th commandment was meaning from the beginning. It isn't a step up or higher goal, it was always the minimum marker or standard.

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

Should have collected it the day before. If it were for some widow or sick person who couldn't collect for themselves, than Jesus would have did, that was doing good. You are setting Jesus, the Lawgiver, against Himself. Be careful.

What exactly is ''resting'' on the Sabbath as to keeping it 'Holy'?

Absolutely correct that there are different sabbaths. Basically feast days but a step up in importance. Passover for example was a week long and was bookended by sabbaths. The day of Atonement... Sabbath. And as Colossians says, those sabbaths Paul was referring to, and the feast days and new...

What exactly is ''resting'' on the Sabbath as to keeping it 'Holy'?

Why is it that so many people stubbornly refuse to consider that true obedience is impossible without God's help? And if is with God's help, then obedience comes after justification, not as a component of it.

What exactly is ''resting'' on the Sabbath as to keeping it 'Holy'?

We keep the 4th commandment in the same manner and by the same strength we obey all the others. By faith in God's power to empower us in our resolve to obey. By abiding in Him, at all times, and focusing on those things on Sabbath of which we know meet with God's approval.

What exactly is ''resting'' on the Sabbath as to keeping it 'Holy'?

The sabbath day was blessed and made holy at creation. God confirmed this when He introduced manna, and reinforced it with the 4th commandment. Nowhere in scripture or in history are we told that the holiness has been removed by God. The day itself is holy still. If you desire to ignore one...

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

You've got to remember that it was Jesus Himself who wrote the law on stone and gave them to Moses. If your understanding and what you say is true and consistent, then you have Jesus contradicting Himself. So let me paraphrase how I think you should be understanding what Jesus was saying...

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

Jesus said it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. Plucking and eating raw corn kernels is not the same as cooking and preparing a meal.

Who is Paul discussing in 2 Thessalonians 2?

The sea beast, whose history could be described as a religious tyranny, in conjunction with whatever local government was willing, or coerced, into enforcing the religious doctrines of the beast, came to an abrupt end in1798. It was at this same time that the land beast was rising up. A beast...
