My guess is that Mary never sinned. God spoke of her after Adam and Eve disobeyed him. God planned for Mary to be the mother of our savior. I think it's highly unlikely that God would have chosen an imperfect woman to carry and raise his prized and perfect son. Surely, Mary was blessed...

As shared earlier, this Harvard atheist says that Jesus showed himself and that Mary did too. He also says that he met a preacher who considered Mary a sinner and, upon hearing that, knew that he and those like him should be ignored, sort of like I'm doing. Amazing!

Why was Mary so "favored" by God if she was just a common sinner as protestants profess?

Stating that Mary was a sinner is about as offensive as it gets. It might even be heresy. Who are YOU to proclaim her a sinner?
