My response was intentionally rhetorical to make a point. And that point is, you believe that Mary was just a common sinner. I believe that's an EXTREME and, frankly, absurd belief.

If Mary was a sinner by virtue of being born, would that same rule apply to Jesus?

That's a fair point. Is it possible that Mary was the single exception? Or are we to take it literally that everyone, including Mary, sinned? It's disappointing to me to see other Christians condemn Mary as a "sinner" when it's not absolutely clear that she was.

For protestants, all of God's works ended with the bible. If it's not in the bible, then it wasn't inspired by God. And if God is no longer active in our lives, then why to protestants continue to pray to him? They contradict themselves and then get hateful and abusive when they're called out...

So anyone who speaks an idea that differs from yours is a heretic?

Protestants apparently believe that Mary was on the same level as a crack whore from the ghetto. So be it. At least they believe she exists, unlike atheists.

What's "bizarre" is that you apparently believe that a sinner can get just as good spiritual advice from a pagan than a Christian priest.

We'll know the answer when we're with God, but not before. Everything else is based on faith and interpretations. It's possible that Mary WAS with sin and that God cleansed her. Again, who knows?

Perhaps it is helpful that a person can confide with a priest, minister, preacher, etc. in order to receive guidance from one who is, presumably, more spiritually aware and who can, hopefully, help them to get on the right path to God. What's wrong with that?

The oldest child that saw Mary in Fatima became a Nun. Are you suggesting that Satan deceived those children into serving God?

If even one of the many reported apparitions of Mary is true, would you agree that Mary is worthy of adoration and prayer requests? Or is it your view that, if the bible doesn't explicitly support a particular activity, then it cannot be done?

How is it a "very serious problem" if Catholics have mistakenly attributed a higher level of holiness to the mother of our savior? Will Catholics burn in Hell for such a belief? If not, what will be the serious consequence for those who hold such a mistaken belief? And what about...
