    KJV Only...which one!

Thank you for a concise post. I actually do appreciate a lot about the KJV. I have used it for many years. I used to love seeing my fathers old KJV that he studied in as a young man. The wide distribution of it has made the Bible available to millions. I don’t agree with you that is the only...

    KJV Only...which one!

Since you only accept scholars who agree with you I won’t bother to quote all the other translators who reject the Johannine Comma. What really matters anyway is that it is inconsistent with the clear Bible truth that Jesus is the Son of God, that God is the head of Christ.

    KJV Only...which one!

So then what heresy is has to be determined by what the Bible says not by what area someone came from. Since Jesus said true Christianity would be over sown with weeds we have to recognize the great apostasy that started while the apostles were alive and really took off after their death. The...

Jehovah is either God or He is not, correct?

You seem so upset. 2 Timothy 2:4 may help you. “For a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle toward all, qualified to teach, showing restraint when wronged.”

Jehovah is either God or He is not, correct?

Facts are facts. The apostate church removed the Tetragrammaton from the Septuagint and the NT. This made the distinction between the Father and the Son less clear paving the way for the trinity.

    KJV Only...which one!

You do know that Athanasius was from Alexandria also. Alexandria was also the center of Hellenism and Syncretism. That is where Platonic philosophy infected Christianity.

    KJV Only...which one!

Please feel free to battle all you want. You seem to thrive on it. I just want to know what is true. The truth about 1 John 5:7 has been clearly established. The Johannine Comma is spurious. It was inserted to offer proof of the trinity. Almost all of the Bible translators who reject it are...

Jehovah is either God or He is not, correct?

Those who express such strong opinions about the NT not using the Divine Name ignore the fact that for years it was claimed that the Septuagint didn’t use it but then in the middle 20th century fragments were discovered that proved it was originally used but was later removed by “Christians.”...

Jehovah is either God or He is not, correct?

Was the Tetragrammaton used in the Septuagint?

    KJV Only...which one!

Dr William Barclay on 1 John 5:7 "The facts are as follows. First, it does not occur in any Greek manuscript earlier than the 14th century. The great manuscripts belong to the 3rd and 4th centuries and it occurs in none of them. None of the great early fathers of the Church knew it. Jerome's...

    KJV Only...which one!

You object to the Greek manuscripts modern Bible scholars use because they were found in Alexandria. Yet you have no objection to Athanasius being from Alexandria. Thankfully Bible truth can be found in many, many translations including the KJV. It just might be a little harder.

    KJV Only...which one!

Actually I am talking about you. You said 1 John 5:7 is the best scripture to establish the trinity. Yet it is at best highly controversial. To almost all Bible scholars outside of the KJ only crowd, the Johannine Comma is spurious.

    KJV Only...which one!

I didn’t intend to be cryptic. Let me be more clear. You say 1 John 5:7 is the clearest statement of the trinity in the Bible. Yet it is almost universally considered by modern Bible scholars to be spurious. How regrettable for trinitarians that your best verse is at best highly controversial.

    What city was Athanasius from?

Is Creation By or Through Jesus Christ?

That is no doubt why most translations say “the beginning of creation” even though it is very awkward for them as trinitarians. How do the scriptures saying things were created “through” Jesus identify him as the originator? Just the opposite is meant.
  16. D

Is Creation By or Through Jesus Christ?

And yet the verse being discussed calls him the beginning of creation.

    KJV Only...which one!

    The converse is equally plausible.

    KJV Only...which one!

Thank you for reinforcing my point.

Is Creation By or Through Jesus Christ?

What is the difference in whether he is the beginning of the creation “of God” or “by God.” The point is Jesus was the beginning of creation.
