    Sharing about "Mormon" temples

This practice is the same world wide. The same in DC, France, Congo, Japan, etc.

    Sharing about "Mormon" temples

The Lord's Supper is part of weekly services at the local chapel. These are symbols- not literal blood & flesh. It doesn't matter what you use-- the items aren't the point and they shouldn't be idolized. Rather the purpose is to remember our Lord & His sacrifice. So out of utilitarian...

    Sharing about "Mormon" temples

Now, bringing this back to the Washington DC temple— Local chapels are open to whomever would like to come. On the other hand, the temple is usually reserved just for believing members wishing to participate -- except for during open houses, like the one going on in DC!! During these...

    Sharing about "Mormon" temples

This post is me just sharing some about "Mormon" temples, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints like myself (nicknamed "Mormon"). I totally acknowledge if that's not your thing, I'm just sharing something special to me and maybe dispelling some misconceptions. It's...

    Division

I don’t think this is a problem that needs solved by man. God knows His Truth and will teach all whom ask Him. We man should love each other despite disagreements.

Protestants view New Agers as heretics and Catholics view Protestants as heretics

So your purpose is simply to state “somebody else thinks you’re a heretic too!”? Ok….

Protestants view New Agers as heretics and Catholics view Protestants as heretics

I’m not sure your point here. Everyone is a herretic in someone else’s eyes. That’s rather obvious.

    Division

Such division is also inevitable. Different persons who hard-core study scripture are going to have different understandings because we are flawed mortals. Trying to have man police this and say: “you most have the same belief as I do” is the same as saying “you must follow me!”.

If OSAS is false, then what?

    1. The requirement of salvation is giving one's heart/mind/might/soul to God. Accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior & following Him. 2. Sin matters! Our Lord commands us to forsake it & repent. Which is a continual process. This biggest difference between OAS and non-OSASA views is that I...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Then why do you keep referencing your twisted understanding of it, having done so 5 times today alone? Doing so only misrepresents your beliefs and mine. Please stop. No one needs false understandings or mockery. Instead we all need truth and Christ.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Trinitarians also believe that^. 3 persons, 1 God. Christ doesn't talk to Himself. @Bible Highlighter , I totally respect if you don't care to understand LDS Christian beliefs. But if that's the case, then stop referencing them! Talking about things you don't understand and don't care to...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Putting aside the totally inaccurate and unneeded mockery of your post, The post you are quoting is also hugely inaccurate and only teach both sides had information (LDS Christians have HUGE misconceptions about Trinitrians due posts like this). Facts: LDS Christians believe that Christ is...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

This ^ is inaccurate. "Mormons" are monotheists, and actually match your extensive post about Trinitarism. The points of difference between LDS Christian beliefs and Trinitarian beliefs aren't touched upon in this lengthy post but lie in things like statements in the Athanasian Creed. Posts...

    Who is This?

I don’t find the word “nature” in scripture, but agreement on all being God and equal.
  15. J

    Who is This?

What do you mean by “nature” here? LDS Christians do believe that the Father/Son/Spirit are one in all of following: goodness, will, Truth, glory, mercy, justice, power, knowledge, etc. But they aren’t literally the same person- like Christ doesn’t pray to Himself.

    Who is This?

Disagreements with the Creeds, not the actual Bible. If you want to discus any specific points, let me know which.

    Who is This?

This link is junk. It’s not remotely accurate, doesn’t bring anyone to Christ, and only teaches everyone false information. Including conveying bad information to “Mormons” about what “Christians” believe.
  18. J

    Who is This?

I’m guessing there was a communication disconnect. It happens regularly. For example, a ton of LDS Christians (incorrectly) think that Creedal Christians believe the Father, Son, and Spirit are all 1 person ( formally known as modalism).
  19. J

    Who is This?

No. Actual LDS Christian theology is VASTLY different then what’s proclaimed in “anti-cult” materials.
  20. J

    Who is This?

The Father, Son and Spirit are all God. The person of the Son is the one speaking through the burning bush (fox example).
