Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

I like the above post And what I like most about it is: So where is God, according to our belief? Is God omni-present? Is the Word of God found near us, even in our mouth and heart? Did He say that He would never leave us? To follow in line with the above post - I'd have to say "Yes" :)

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Yes- This is soooo important to understand - and it seems that we don't always get this message across like we should. It is good to know that some understand. :)

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Just so everyone knows, I am absolutely not against, but rather I am for, reading and studying about the Kingdom of God! Never-the-less, if and since the Kingdom of God is a reality and it is in our midst, is not the best way to get understanding about it to seek it??? In our studies, did we...

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

It is a good topic - but not really!!! I say that because the kingdom of God is not a "topic" it is a reality for real Christians!! We don't read about it, we experience it! We don't study about angels but we have them sent to minister to us!!! Heb 1:13,14 But to which of the angels has He...

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Yes - it is! It is still not of this world, but it the King never leaves us, then His Kingdom never leaves us either! :)

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Humm??? I agree that God is Sovreign, however there is also a rebellion going on, is there not? So if some have broken away from the King and now serve another is a place called earth. Then can that be considered a place in which we find the Kingdom of God, since those in that place are not...

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Mat 12:28 “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. It might be unclear in the above verse whether the kingdom of God is always present, but it is certain that it was present with Jesus Christ at that moment!! And we know that Jesus Christ is the...

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Humm?? We know that the Father are One, because Jesus states plainly that is so: Jn 17:11 “I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are. And...

How can they escape? .... J.C. Philpot

"Tirade"? The OP about God giving people different purposes is very good. I have noted that already. In fact it is very very important to understand the importance of that realization!! If I didn't make that clear, understand that is a very important thing to be made clear. The Lord, He made...

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Interesting thought. So a Kingdom, by definition, has a King. So then who do you say is these two Kings are? And since Jesus told Pilate that His Kingdom is not of this world, what does that mean to you? And since we see that the One whose robe is dipped in blood is called the Word of God...

Does the Kingdom of God being at hand mean it will come or that it has come?

Mark 1: 14,15 Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” It seems to me that at church the above is too often interpreted that someday...

How can they escape? .... J.C. Philpot

I like the original posts, and the other afterwards were ok, except that they were just quotes from the same person and not you or the Lord talking to you?? And what makes you think I don't know about Charles Spurgeon? The Lord asked me to open and run a Christian bookstore for Him for a couple...

How can they escape? .... J.C. Philpot

I don't doubt his desire to exalt the grace of God, but who about you? Are you out to exalt Jesus Christ or Rev J C Philpot?? Are you out to get to know Jesus Christ personally and listen to Him, or you out to get to know about the person Rev J C Philpot?? Do you know that the trials...

How can they escape? .... J.C. Philpot

Does the Lord guide us with His eyes, or by pushing us here or there? Is it not by His voice that He leads us? Jn 10: 3,4 “To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. “When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them...

How can they escape? .... J.C. Philpot

Yes of course! He guides our steps but that does not mean that we each step in the same step the other person before us took. And this actually becomes a very important thing to realize, because pastors and preachers leaning on their own understanding (and they often do) can cause much trouble...

    A favorite holiday

Perhaps it is not fair to say we like a certain holiday over another, because there is some purpose for all of them, so a person might like all of them for different reasons. This is also true of the Lord our God, and talking to Him about how He feels is interesting. It gets His perspective...

Parables and saying - Why and now??

Mat 7:6 “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. Of course this is a 'Christian Forum', and we should be able to bring forth the parables, sayings and teachings here, because it...

Parables and saying - Why and now??

Do we know that God even love pigs????? He made them, so He loves them. But am I speaking about physical pigs or the unrighteous? He once told me this parable about three hound dogs and a pig. See if you can figure it out before I explain. He told it to me while driving to work one day and...

Parables and saying - Why and now??

Where have is "denigrated" Jesus Christ? Oh, but perhaps you don't know the Jesus Christ it the Word of God because you don't listen to Him? If you don't listen to Him then it is you who denigrate the Word of God/ Jesus Christ. Indeed you have killed the Word of God in you personally!! Do you...

Parables and saying - Why and now??

Yes of course He can use all that He made for as some teaching tool. Still, if we go to class and don't actually listen to the Teacher, did we really learn anything? For example; I was once driving down the street and looking at the mountains close to where I live because it had recently snowed...
