Try this! with power! It's Scriptural!

Ok so in doing this I have applied a "here" to "there". From the source of anxiety I have in my being (here) be thou removed, uprooted far way from me back into the spiritual darkness (there) IN JESUS' NAME!

Where did the holiday Christmas come from?

Am I right that the holiday Christmas was originally intended for Christians and that it's correctly defined for Christ's birth since it's called Christ-mas? Then AFTER it turned to having a pagan holiday? Thanks everyone!

Try this! with power! It's Scriptural!

Oh, there's 1 more part to it, everyone: Matthew 17:21 21 But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. So we have to pray about it first and then fast. I guess we have to fast in something we like, for example. The fasting will be hard for me. I don't feel like fasting or giving...

    Except Ye Repent...

Yes we can put it that way, that saving faith is that if we believe, we will also follow. I remember having a better example of explaining what kind of works Paul in his book was talking about, like your own works will not work but only works of the faith in Christ Jesus we must follow, not our...

Try this! with power! It's Scriptural!

I edited post #1. The reason is that I see that both Matthew and Luke Scriptures have a "here" to "there" so I think you have to pray that way. Move from here to there. mulberry tree be uprooted (here) and planted into the sea (there)

blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy Mat. 5:7 Discuss.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5:7 Anyone who has trespassed against me, I give the utmost mercy, meaning I learned to not treat them badly if they treated me bad or did something wrong. God is merciful so we should be like Him and He will be merciful to us when...

Try this! with power! It's Scriptural!

Matthew 17:20 20“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” … Luke 17:6 6And the Lord answered, “If you have...

Anyone here experienced with Christian Anarchists?

One thing I never took was Politics in HS so I'd have to look at left wing and right wing. From what you say I'm a political right "live and let live" PEACE person.

Praying for others in public is wrong, right?

but even if I like praise too, I don't give honor to myself, I give honor to God, that all good things I have or am is from God

How is Christmas supposed to feel?

Yes we know he eventually died on the cross by evil people so we shouldn't go by our feelings on Christmas in that way but seeing Him/Jesus as our Lord and Savior is the bright side, that's why there are lights, music and a celebration

How is Christmas supposed to feel?

I think he's saying that even if we don't feel good on Christmas, we shouldn't go by our feelings which can be valid I guess. I feel nice on Christmas with the snow and lights and music.

Praying for others in public is wrong, right?

Yes I do think it's very important to connect and show care for others by praying with them if they ask for prayer, those instances, and that it has value to miss it if we can't do that kind of thing at all and as long as the motive is right. What are other's thoughts on this? @stredaleve there...
