What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

If there was no Adam, then there was no fall, if no fall there is no separation from God and no need for a saviour.

    Everyone make's mistakes

The earht is demo straightaway round, the ancient t teachers etc know from observations that it is round. Truth fits with reality , that there is a God is the most basic and simplistic fact that fits with what we know of science. Nothing does not make something, therefore something caused...

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

Acts 19:13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, ‘In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.’ 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this...

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

The O T has value both as a accurate historical document and for the spiritual lessons we can learn from that history. If not true then it has no spiritual value.

What reason do people say you have to have faith in the bible?

Which is what I wrote. I suspect t it is also what people used to mean when they talked about having faith in the bible, but that they were guilty of sloppy language and theo, ogy which corrupted those who followed them.

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

My faith is based on the resurrection of Jesus, as Paul wrote in 1 cor15 if Christ is not risen we are guilty of misrepresenting God ( my paraphrase) No resurrection No Christianity.

    Everyone make's mistakes

Some people claim to believe in the spaghetti monster, others in fairies, Christians believe in what is true and the truth is based on facts. Have nothing to do with those who say all you need is to believe. We are told always be ready to give a Reason for your faith.

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

We're not discussing comparative religion, but Christianity. As I posted earlier, if there was no literal Adam, then there was no fall, no promise of a saviour and consequently no Jesus. If Jesus had made a mistake it would have been pounced on bathe scribes etc .instead ing.

"Casting all your care upon Him"

And that is when it's hardest, when one's faith is at its weakest. Mark9:24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, ‘I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!’ Is the response.

"Casting all your care upon Him"

In this life we can be certain that we will have troubles. They may be small niggles or enormous spirit crushing burdens, what ever they are we can gain peace through telling our heavenly Father about them. Trust in the Lord, so easy to write, but when there's a foot rushing one's throat...

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

A basic knowledge of the bible tells one that Deuteronomy is a repetition of the law, a 2nd reading. So if there are differences it is that the Deuteronomy rendering that has been changed. If they are not historically true they have no spiritual value.

What reason do people say you have to have faith in the bible?

We all have faith in many things,, every time you f,ick a light switch, start your car, go to pay using a card one has faith it will work. Faith/trust in the bible for what? That it is the authoritative, reliable word of God, why don't you trust it to be that.

Were the Gospel accounts a mythology of Jesus?

Yet historians, professionals working with historical accounts accept many of the gospels and epistle s as being historically accurate, that is written by eye witnesses. See Does the “1 Corinthians 15 creed” date to about AD 30? For a creed dated to within 6 years of the crucifixion.

at the end of your life here will be a cinematic of your life. where you going to have to explain everything you did

Jesus said ' If you Love me, You will obey my commands. ' That is why Christians do good. What happens on the day of judgement? Revelation talks about a court with books/scrolls being opened and that the important issue is..... Is your name in the Lambs book of life? Divide imagery, what...

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

If the creation story is false, what value do the ten commandments have seeing as they say that God created the world in 6 days and rested on the seventh. If God didn't do that the commands while interesting are not authoritative. Jesus said as Jonah was in the belly of the fish so he would...

Is the story of Adam & Eve a parable?

    Evolutionists shy away from this.

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

They take the stories at face value, that they are real. Pilgrims progress is an entertaining and instructive fictional story. It is not intended to be thought of as a true historical story. Unlike the bible stories which are intended to be historical accounts.

    Treasures in old hymns.

May I suggest that you meditate on those hymns, that you also look for modern versions of those hymns and compare them. There is masses of theology in those hymns and sometimes a quite word to the preacher that such and such a hymn would have really complimented the sermon or a later email...
