Jesus Came To Fulfill Not To Destroy

My church (Grace Baptist Church Watsonia) just did a sermon on this exact scripture, last Sunday!

Even at the end: Churches gonna be hot, churches gonna be cold - some will predict it, some not?

The world itself oscillates between happy hot and sad hot, happy cold and sad cold. Jesus said people were like "children sitting in the marketplace saying 'we played the flute and you did not dance, we mourned and you did not mourn with us" (gospels, from memory). That is an example of the...

Indisputable proof that the Premillennial theory contradicts Scripture

Can God not save souls before during and after the tribulation?

How much does God suffer, knowing He created to suffer? (character?)

David says in Psalms that God can be found in Hell. How is He in Hell, but not suffering? Jesus said "Before Abraham was, I AM". How can Jesus be prior to the Father of the Faith but not suffer (that is, be in need of his faith)? Indeed Jesus is called "God with us". How can He be called "with...

How much does God suffer, knowing He created to suffer? (character?)

Hi there, So I just want to dwell briefly on the fact that God does not create, such that we suffer on our own, but that God creates knowing He will suffer from His creation suffering. God suffering is why our relationship to Him is so important: without a relationship to God, there is no end...

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

I've had a major shift. I have stopped using what I "know" to advance myself, that includes not trying to shape my understanding of evolution to suit me. Rather, I want what I know to serve Jesus. Part of this is understanding that the world only has partial knowledge of Jesus. In no way is the...

If I am "commanded" to love you (brother/sister), what is it you think my love is commanded to be? (dreaming?)

I asked a friend at Church this question, he said "Just love God and love others as you would be loved"

Do you follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

In response to the OP, I prefer to think that "the Word is there for me, in the end"

The soul of the Holy Spirit lived in Jesus' flesh (Word?)

The Lord gives me doors to scripture which no man can shut. I appreciate that you are invested in scripture meaning a certain thing, my experience is that Jesus did more than this - He challenged people who believed in Him. If you want to pray for me, pray that my character would change for...

John the Baptist will come to convict the world of Answer, Truth and Spirit (heard a message?)

Jesus said "Elijah coming first, is the same as John the Baptist coming first" and proverbs teaches that "the things that came in the beginning will come again" You don't have to believe it, just check with the Holy Spirit.

It matters to God, whether He creates consciously or unconsciously (choosing?)

Hi there, So I have had a little of an awakening, actually. Not only have I come to the conclusion that you can't save yourself, unless you have first obeyed; but I have come to the realisation, that the state you are in when you commit your obedience to God, matters to God. Let me explain what...

Have an addiction to McDonald's? You are like me!

I don't know what it is, but every time I switch my desire for McDonald's off, something else turns it on. I've tried burning the desire in spiritual fire, to going cold and unresponsive - nothing seems to work? Just now it was prayed to God that the desire die - let's see where that takes us!

Do non-Christians go to Hell after death?

In Heaven, Jesus gives you the power to bring to life, which you can do as long as God receives the praise. Does a Muslim woman with the power to bring to life, not do so for the praise of God - if that woman is in Heaven? Everyone who reaches Heaven, is instructed as to what they can do, not...

John the Baptist will come to convict the world of Answer, Truth and Spirit (heard a message?)

I told you: Jesus said the Holy Spirit would convict the world and He said the Holy Spirit would give of Jesus to us. These two things put together, amount to the convictions of the faith being manifest, almost regardless of who they are (assuming they are willing) - there is no reason that...

Just remember if you endure to the end, getting back up after falling will always be better, than if you never had faith at all. I love you, man - I fell away too, it hurts bad!

The soul of the Holy Spirit lived in Jesus' flesh (Word?)

Hi there, So I am not sure where to take this belief, but the Holy Spirit has come to reveal to me, that His soul dwelt in the flesh of Christ. When Jesus died on the Cross and was speared, blood and water coming out of His side, was a sign that the Holy Spirit's soul was leaving His body. This...

    Christians must vote this election!

Wouldn't it be something if Christians were responsible for - a pro-life, anti-tax, wall building - Trump getting re-elected!?

If all that one knows, believes, & follows is the "Great Commandment", will they go to Heaven?

In response to the title, technically at some point you need to obey the last commandment. Obeying the Great commandment is good, but if you are going to forget the Last commandment, what you do for the Great Commandment will be forgotten. The Last Commandment is, obey the Last Commandment.

Not ALL the physically dead are raised at the same time, the dead in Christ rise FIRST.

I think it is interesting to shift perspective a little: the dead in Christ will always rise first (from now to the end of life). It is not just a strength to know that the dead in Christ have been blessed, but that they will always be blessed and a blessing because of that.
