I was faced with returning to the world, or going and serving Jesus and I returned to the world (lost?)

I think what it is, is that my "returning to the world" has to die.

    Justified by Works

I could answer this, but at this point I realise that we just see the world differently: I don't even think I can express the difference, I can just say "yes, I love you too (a similar way to God)" I suppose, if anything you have encouraged me to see work coming from God, not just emerging...

I was faced with returning to the world, or going and serving Jesus and I returned to the world (lost?)

Hi there, So this is the problem: I was faced with returning to the world, or going and serving Jesus and I returned to the world. Now, I am aware of a couple of scriptures here: one, Jesus said to the man who had legion "go back to your home town and tell them what God has done for you and how...

They want a gospel made in their own image

Brothers who deny the truth, destroy the house (selah) Jesus said "My House will be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves" (gospels, from memory). Remember to pray for your fallen brethren.

    Justified by Works

There is a difference between being "justified" and being "justified later" - perhaps I overlooked that subtlety. What I am trying to say is that "what comes later, inspires us now" And indeed maybe you need to die, before you can come to a point of trust, that is beyond death. Alive in the...

What's your purpose at a forum such as this?

In response to the OP, my purpose is to ask the question "what would I change, if I lived on a diet of forbidden fruit, but still kept faith in the Lord?" (what can I quicken, in other words)

    Justified by Works

If you are not spurred on, you will not work, and your faith will be without works, and without works be dead. Of course, if you are spurred on and someone comes along and tries to spur you on further, the Devil may tempt you not to receive it - that's why the Bible says "don't put a stumbling...

I don't want to be plauged by this anymore...

I'm not sure what others have said, but two things: one, you have a choice: do you tolerate these thoughts, or do you try to escape them? - you need to be confident about your answer (as Jesus said, if you are going to clean house, make sure you move elsewhere, before the unclean spirits come...

    Justified by Works

In answer to the OP, I would say we are not "justified" by works, so much as we are "spurred on" by works - where once we did not have an appetite for works, now we do quite spiritually.

In Heaven, believers will wake up at a similar time and go to sleep at a similar time (rested?)

I just realised that the way God created the Earth (with morning and night) is the way He thinks about Heaven (morning and night). That and I have a strong conviction that what we do in Heaven, we do together (being "One" as Jesus said in John).

In Heaven, believers will wake up at a similar time and go to sleep at a similar time (rested?)

Hi there, So this is something that may not have occurred to you, but there are patterns, in Heaven. One of those patterns is the cycle of the Day. The cycle of the Day is not dictated, rather everyone gets up at a similar time and goes to sleep at a similar time. Fundamentally, they do it...

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

This is something: no matter what species you are, you only have a class of adaptations to rely on. No one has an unlimited class of adaptations at their disposal.

Now you have two forms of knowledge: that you know and that Christ knows you (torn?)

I just mean that originally men were convicted by God and saw no distinction between them and God, because there was knowledge but it was only the spirit of knowledge (not the actual thing). Now we have moved beyond the spirit of knowledge and the substantiation of knowledge to a choice of...

    Justified by Works

So to you it is the same Grace, whether you work or play? You don't find that "limiting"? We can serve in the newness of the Spirit of the Law (without the letter), that's what I am saying. Yes that is exactly my point. John does not speak to different ages as though they all have the same...

    Justified by Works

Grace frees us to do works of the Spirit (as you say "walk in the spirit"), we are only 'under Grace' until our freedom is apparent, then we are 'supported by Great Grace' to do the works it is in our hearts to do. Do we go back to being 'under Grace' once our works are done? Or do we 'stand for...

Now you have two forms of knowledge: that you know and that Christ knows you (torn?)

Hi there, So there is a dynamic in the life of Earth dwellers that wasn't there before: concerning knowledge. Originally, the knowledge of good and evil, was knowledge of the one - destroyed by sin, but always being knowledge of the one. Then Christ lay His Life down, destroyed by sin, but...

Why I Would Not Like Jesus

Can you discuss science with a barbarian? Does Shakespeare make sense to a neandertal? I think the Holy Spirit will be more interesting than you give Jesus credit for?

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

One man's rapture, is another man's being caught up (and vice versa)

    Justified by Works

Technically, faith is not "works of the flesh"; "works of the Spirit" fulfil the faith in greater and greater ways. It is not forced, there is no condemnation, but to suggest that because works of the flesh cease, works of the spirit do also, is inaccurate. Self-righteous works of the Spirit...
