Verses 37 to 40 specifically tell us there are 4 kingdoms. Does verse 39 mention “a 3rd kingdom?” Does verse 40 mention “a 4th kingdom?” Do you see anywhere in Chapter 2 7 or 8 ANY mention of a 5th kingdom?

Common knowledge? What kind of a statement is that? If you look at “today’s accepted interpretations” for most of Daniel, there are at least two separate interpretations by the scholars, academics and theologians! And Caesar is not found in Daniel.

I provided you the verses and u told you that 32 and 33 revealed that he 4 kingdoms.. Further, I told you that Daniel specifically labeled them as “dream sequence” verses. The verses you are referring too are not “dream sequence” verses but are referred to as “interpretation sequence” verses...

No, these are the people that went into exile to Babylon and would return to Jerusalem BEFORE the arrival of Jesus on the first day of the 70th week prophecy. That is what the 70 weeks prophecy is all about - their return to Jerusalem.

The The fig tree parable has nothing to do with the 70 weeks of years prophecy… why would you bring in that when Daniel specifically tells us who, when, where the restoration of the Jews and the city will take place ?

Great... now here are the two sections or types of verses that I have found it necessary to distingush... (this took so long because when I attempted to interpret the later chapters in Daniel - 7,8, 9, etc.) nothing made sense). Meaning, most of Daniel is not written in chronological order...

Thanks Dougg, but perhaps we might try and stay with Chapter 2 since the other early chapters clearly stay wit Babylon. But Chspter 2 does give us a big picture view of the 4 kingdoms on the outside of the box and the detail verses (41-45) of the 4th kingdom. So we can leave the other...
