When It All Starts, REMEMBER THIS

When It All Starts, REMEMBER THIS Hmmmm. We all know the story of the frog placed in a pot while the water is being heated. It doesn't jump out because it becomes accustomed to the increasing temperature.....till it is cooked. This can be used as an analogy and I would suggest the heating of...

    Is Grace Established By Faith?

Is Grace Established By Faith? I think Grace is established subjectively in the believers experience when and as they believe. Grace is God's quality. It is objective to us; it is God's attitude and dealings with all people. John Newtons song, 'Amazing Grace' is speaks of his realisation and...

What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

My understanding is the soul is as Lambano has quoted (Genesis 2:7) ....and the spirit is the attitude, the consciousness in/ with which a person operates. At death both cease to be until called forth at the resurrection of which the scripture tells are there are two.

Biblical Worship not a Worship Service

I guess being held to account is uncomfortable. John the Baptist didn't loose his head for nothing. .....and egging people on to draw their own conclusions can also be uncomfortable, particularly when they are encouraged to think out side the box or in other words, introducing a paradigm which...

Receive the HS, how today ?

So God is beholden to the laying on of human hands before he dispenses his Spirit?

Receive the HS, how today ?

I don't think it matters, seer. When Jesus healed, sometimes he did it with just a word, other times put mud on the eyes and told them to wash. It is the same with the Spirit. Some people have a dramatic experience, others don't. The evidence of having the Spirit is of course a change of heart...

Mamdani win is regressive for NYC and unfavorable

Any violence bursting out in us my dear is not the working of God's Spirit. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus who for the joy set before him (ie, being in the company of all who have embraced his kingdom at heart) endured the cross scorning its shame.

Receive the HS, how today ?

I have no methods. I hear the good news of Jesus and believe. My heart is drawn to a God who saved me and comforts me every day and gives me the desire to share the hope I have.

Receive the HS, how today ?

Why think in terms of a method? Human methods are flawed. God's Spirit is not beholden to human methods. What matters is Jesus, ie understanding his reality. His Spirit is given for that purpose. Check out the ReDiscovering God podcasts. The link is in my signature below.

Receive the HS, how today ?

I don't find any conflict between Paul, the Disciples or Jesus. I have my own experience. Does this mean it is invalidated because I'm not one of the twelve?

Receive the HS, how today ?

No. I think of Saul (Paul) on the road to Damascus. I think of the Disciples gathered at Pentecost, I think of Balaam and I think of my own experience.

Receive the HS, how today ?

John 3:5-8 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it...
