    IN CHRIST

OUR ARK: (the “in Christ” doctrine) 2 Cor 1:19-22 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us-- by me, Silvanus, and Timothy-- was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us...

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** I have asked this question in churches and on this forum but all I get is accusations of being a judge just as on here. Religious people will not admit that they are a Christain because of the blood only. They glory in their religion.

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** ESSENTIAL???. It is the only reason we can have salvation. Just because a person says that they believe in Jesus does not mean they have faith in what He did on the cross for their benefit. Every church that calls it's self Christian can say they believe in Jesus. But do they believe...

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** Thanks. I got a good laugh out of this one. But, of course, you realize that according to some you must become perfect in the flesh to be saved.

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** Just like a Christian you think what you have written is pure without judging while all you have written is judging me. Boy you must have really been hit hard by the fact that I said most do not talk about the cross. Did it convict you?

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** Just as the religious accused Jesus and Paul of many things just because they did not agree with them it also happens on forums. You insulted me when you talk about me rather than the idea behind the post. Why don't you ask those in your church why they think they are saved and let their...

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** NO! I am not since our attitude and tone is an argumentive one. I am not interested in arguing.

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

Some say we are not to lay the foundation again. My point is that most of religion NEVER teach the foundation. When asked why they are saved most all will never mention the cross. They will most always retreat into works of religion

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** You have convicted yourself by replying in the way you did. I did not mention anyone by name.

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** For the slow. The scriptures plainly say that all the sins of of mankind were atoned for by what Jesus did on the cross when all, all, all the iniquities (wickness, sins) of the world were laid on Him. But religious man refuses to believe (have faith) that their sins have been atoned for...

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

Is this enough detail? Preaching the cross: Isa 53:6-11 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the...

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** It seems like I am the only one since I am the only one that is talking about it. How many of your posts mention the shed blood of Jesus on the cross?

Repentance and Sin No More, Perfection and Born of the Spirit

*** Only God can make a person holy. A person can not do it by trying not to sin. According to scripture a person is washed, sanctified, and justified by the Holy spirit. It is IMPUTED righteousness. Men are not the holy spirit.
  14. H. Richard

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

*** But no one wants to acknowledge that Jesus atoned (paid) for all the sins of mankind on the cross. Mankind still struggles with their sins of the flesh by refusing to place their faith in what Jesus accomplished on the cross for them as a gift. Mankind loves religion activities thinking it...

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

I does seem odd to me that since the work of Jesus on the cross is the reason we can have salvation is not something most are willing to write about. Why??

Repentance and Sin No More, Perfection and Born of the Spirit

*** So if I place my faith, trust in what Jesus did for me on the cross as a free gift I must want to sin? You are building a straw man. No child of God WANTS to sin Just as Paul did not want to sin in Romans 7. As a mater of fact they are looking forward to the promise of God of a new life...

Repentance and Sin No More, Perfection and Born of the Spirit

*** Are you saying that Jesus did not win the battle for us so we have to do it by what we do?
  18. H. Richard

Repentance and Sin No More, Perfection and Born of the Spirit

*** So I am ignorant and being stubborn because I do not believe what you are saying. Why do you think you are so much better in understanding than others? Do you really think these scriptures you quote mean your sinful nature is done away with and you no longer sin in the flesh? We still...

Repentance and Sin No More, Perfection and Born of the Spirit

*** The scriptures never say a man in the flesh can stop sinning. Clearly you think a person is saved by what that person does in the flesh. It is only the spirit of a man that is saved. The flesh sees corruption. There are no works that a person can do that will change that person's sinful...

define what the word "burdens" means.

Everyone lives in a body that sins. It is the burden of those sins that Jesus took away when He atoned for them by sheding His blood on the cross. But there are many who do not believe His blood atoned for their sins of the flesh. They will stand before Jesus and will be condemned because...
