Do you know the real Jesus ?

Same as Athanasians + Calvinists + Catholics + "anti-cultists" + a million others: all can embrace Christ as have a saving relationship with Him. Note: I'm not saying all because that would imply sitting on a pew equates to salvation- it does not. And their are folks in each group that really...

Do you know the real Jesus ?

+ Athanasians + Calvinists + Catholics + a million others. And ALL of those people are CHRISTIANS fully capable of having SAVING relationships with Christ. Salvation is first and foremost about embracing Christ. Not a person's ability to pass some scantron theology test.

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Ok. To me: I see a modulist confess thier love of Christ, striving to follow Him, etc. I do indeed acknowledge the fact that they are Christians, albeit with major flaws in thier academic theology. But salvation isn’t dependent on man’s ability to pass a theology test. And I do passionately...

Do you know the real Jesus ?

That wasn’t my question. My question is: do you believe a modulist is not saved because of their flawed academic understanding of Christ?

Do you know the real Jesus ?

I am trying to understand your view here.

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Would you care to address my modulist example?

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Would you mind if I ask you a different question? To what degree do you believe that a person's imperfect academic understanding of Christ invalidates that person's salvation? If you want a tactile example, see my modulist one earlier in this thread.

Do you know the real Jesus ?

On what people think about this academic side of theology? Or to what degree this academic side of theology matters for salvation?

Do you know the real Jesus ?

With all respect, I’d rather hear @Christophany ’s answer to my question- hence why I asked him.

Do you know the real Jesus ?

@Christophany , if you don’t mind me asking, what was your reason for starting this thread?

Do you know the real Jesus ?

A modulist (for example) did not clone Jesus through there ignorance. No, there’s only on Son of God. And the modulist’s poor academic understanding doesn’t mean thier faith or love of Him is somehow invalidated. No. They are love the same, even (like little children) they have much to learn...

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Again, it’s not an academic understanding that saves (or unsaves) anyone. Vast of the disagreements one this subject are academic ones, involving interpretation of certain passages. Not about the love of Christ or scripture.

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Note: if find most often this “different Jesus “ platform is one that tries to make salvation into man’s ability to pass an academic test, and pushes aside a person’s confession to the Lord. I don’t know if that’s your case, but that’s my experience. Example: I passionately disagree with...

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Such confession is a totally different thing than being able to pass an academic theology test.

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Loving the Lord, confessing Him, embracing Him = all good things essential for salvation. But again, man’s ability to pass a theology test isn’t what saves them. A person whom loves Christ, confessed Him, and embraces Him is saved. If they have a poor academic understanding that doesn’t make...

Do you know the real Jesus ?

Nobody is saved by their ability to pass a theology test. The child who knows/understands little is just as saved as the great scholar. Let’s remember that.

    Inerrancy and the bible

Honestly, I find the "inerrancy" question to not be that productive. Ultimately, the end goal of Christian study is toe have a perfect understanding of things. Obviously that's not going to happen your first read through of scripture, or your second, or your seventh -- it's a lifetime+...

    Are you saved now?

@theefaith this question is a strawman misrepresentation other people's positions. Do you realize that? If you want to engage in apologetics, then please take the time to LISTEN and UNDERSTAND other people's beliefs.
