Does the one true church have to be catholic? NO!!! The Roman Catholic Church is one denomination of thousands claiming Christ. Selection of which should be a matter of intense personal study and prayer. Never should you join a church just because somebody claimed "Hey I'm the right church!"...

In this regard though there isn't a difference: both Athanasian Christians and LDS Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are three different persons in one God. The difference is in the how: Ahtanasian Christians being through consubstanstaion, and LDS Christians through unity...

Yes and no- things come on order. Obviously a person need to know that Christ exists to embrace Him. But they don’t have to have a perfect understanding. Even the most studied still have much to learn.

As to my view on the subject of the nature of God , I believe i’ve already covered that with you @Christophany . If I’m wrong and / or there’s something else you want me to cover deeper, let me know.
