What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

I found a Bible that I really liked and so I read the whole New Testament just a year ago. But boy was it a trinity Bible. I have spent most of my life as a King James guy. So what Bible is not trinitarian?

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Question: Could part of the problem in the understanding between you two on the name of God be the difference between God's name and the things God is called. For example, I'm called many things on this website but I only have one name.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

I think what you're saying is the trinity has no benefit now, but it does later in the future. I think that's what you are saying.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Anything God touches produces something. Jesus being not God produced the spirit of Christ that allows me to walk by the spirit and be in fellowship with both God and Jesus Christ. Are you saying the trinity is of no value? That it produces nothing?

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

I am going to assume your answer is no... the trinity does not produce a way that you can live and walk in the spirit and be in fellowship with both God and Jesus Christ.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

The Word of God produces stuff. Christianity produces the fruit of the spirit. What does the trinity produce?

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

I am in communication with the spirit of God every waking hour. I have fellowship with both God and Jesus Christ minute by minute. There my buddies. What does the trinity produce for you?

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Boy I really would love to know what is the fruit that you get out of the thinking that Jesus is God. What does it produce for you? Can you live and walk in the spirit and be in fellowship with both God and Jesus Christ?

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Instead of answering the question that is stated in the OP because I honestly want to know why people think they need to believe Jesus is God... folks tell me that the Bible says he is. And they think they are answering the question. To converse with them I end up talking about what they are...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

This idea really worries me when folks like you say it is necessary to believe that Jesus is God in order to enter Heaven because Lord Jesus says "unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins" (John 8:24) My Bible says "I am he" (KJV). And this John was probably addressed to the Jews...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Something that is openly admitted by theologians that is not known by many Christians is that the doctrine of the Trinity is not stated in the Bible, but is actually “built” by piecing together statements that are said to support it. Scholars admit that there are only about eight verses in the...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

I think the trinity folks are missing a whole lot of stuff on how they understand the Scriptures. By that I mean God cannot be humble which is why there's no verse anywhere in the Bible that says He can be. Just sit back and think about what God being humble would mean. Who would He be humble...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

Well, let's look at these three verses... Isaiah 57:15... Who is the "high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy that dwells in the high and holy place"? Who is "him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit"? Which one is God? Psalm 138:6... Does not say God is...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

All I ever asked for on this forum is a verse or two and all I get is whatever people personally believe.

Does John 1:1 say Jesus is God

Some stuff on the Holy Spirit There are many descriptions, titles, and names for God in the Bible and I would like to add God’s proper name is “Yahweh” which occurs more than 6,000 times in the Hebrew Old Testament and is generally translated as “LORD.” But God is also referred to as Elohim...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-29 *** Jesus said this... not God The "fruit of the Spirit"/ spiritual growth, requires humility. *** I disagree. The fruit...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

Since I work close with the Christ there are some things that I just know about God. And one of those things is that He is not humble. He does not have anything that would be considered humble. Find me a verse anywhere that says God is or was ever humble. Old Testament, New Testament... anywhere.
