What I actually believe -- sharing love of Christ

I"m a little unsure of what you both mean here. Obviously God knows everything and there's nothing new to Him. We know relatively very little and are still learning (both as individuals and a collective), and hence learn things that are new to us.

What I actually believe -- sharing love of Christ

God is infinitely just. A person who has not accept Christ needs to accept Him and repent of their wicked ways. Those whom have not have the opportunity to do so before their mortal death will have the opportunity to do so as spirits after their mortal death but before the Millennium and Final...

What I actually believe -- sharing love of Christ

communion: I'm assuming you're asking about the Lord's Supper. LDS Christians partake in Communion/ the Lord's Supper / Sacrament every week. We do so in memory of Him and His sacrifice. All are welcome to join. For people whom has been formally baptized & covenanted with God, this also...

What I actually believe -- sharing love of Christ

Continuing... (Note: I'm keeping these answers super short, feel free to ask for an elaboration). Baptism: being baptized is a super important part of being a disciple of Christ. It's when a person formally accepts Him, covenanting with Him, and takes His name upon themselves. A proper...

What I actually believe -- sharing love of Christ

Cool-- I always love putting the big subjects first. Let's start with salvation: salvation comes through Jesus Christ. He, the perfect Son of God, died on the Cross, and offers the free gift of salvation to all. We are to have faith in Him and be His disciples. This isn't a whimsical...

What I actually believe -- sharing love of Christ

"22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me." -Jesus Christ, the Intercessory...

What I actually believe -- sharing love of Christ

(Usual disclaimer: I'm just explaining my views. I totally acknowledge that other people have different views. I'm not remotely interested in arguing with anyone). God speaking to you through the Bible is an example of personal revelation, and by far the most common method. But as you've...

The Church The Papacy Says You Should Join

I acknowledge you passion. But that doesn't give you a right to completely disrespect another and keep shoving when they say "no thank you".

The Church The Papacy Says You Should Join

I'm happy to have respectful conversation, where the goal is to better understand each other. Not to have an argument wherein people just want to argue for their position and ignore the other. I said repeatedly that I'm not interested in an agreement. You continued to ignore me and try to press...

Or just not interested in an argument and being continually disrespected in such a way (as I've said many times). It's really leaving me with a negative impression of the SDA posters on here.

In your perspective. Not please quit trying to shove it down my throat when I have repeatedly said I am not interested.

    Not interested in arguing.

The Church The Papacy Says You Should Join

Going to be blunt here: I understand your position, and thank you for sharing it. I am not interested in trying to change that or otherwise arguing. You're striking as only interest in that, and hence I'm not interested.

The Church The Papacy Says You Should Join

I understand that it your perspective. I don not share it, but I thoroughly understand your views. Thank you for explaining. I have no interest in trying to change your perspective. Are you actually interested in understanding my perspective, or are you just interested in trying to change it...

The Church The Papacy Says You Should Join

Again: I understand your (I'm assuming SDA) position and acknowledge it. I'm not interested trying to change your mind or otherwise argue.

I'm not interested in "defending" anything. Only understanding. I understand your position quite thoroughly, and I've explained mine, so that's the end of it. Nothing more to be said.

Again, we're disagreeing on what the important part of the commandment is here. I acknowledge your views and don't see any benefit in arguing about it.

I honor the Lord by spending a day of rest and prayer/worship of Him. It doesn't matter what the calendar says. Of course, I acknowledge that you and I differe on that regard. I acknowledge your beliefs there, and respect them, and aren't interested in arguing over it.

Again, while I respect your beliefs, overly stressing "the day of rest MUST be Saturday!" strikes me as legalistic. For me, the important thing is having the day of rest and honoring the Lord, nevermind what the calendar says.

The Church The Papacy Says You Should Join

Honestly: I do admire SDA's stressing on having a day of rest and honoring the Lord. But the stressing that is must be Saturday, rubs me the wrong way and seems very legalistic. For me, the important thing is having that day of rest and honoring the Lord. And heck, if life's schedule is...
