Total adherence to Calvinism makes God the author of evil

Dude: if you, a Calvinist, have issue with the fact that I'm not a Calvinist, then you can blame the only being that has any culpability in Calvinist beliefs: God.

Total adherence to Calvinism makes God the author of evil

In other for the bolded to be true, you must have free will.

    Jesus Missing in Revelation

And who is giving them a "pass" when nobody has freewill? ;)

    Brigham Young

I'm just factual on what I believe and what's the actual doctrinal stance of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

    Brigham Young

Nice showing out your lack of real research. Fact: I have left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for several years. During that time, the only smearing I encountered was from "anti-cultists" such as yourself. Before then and since my return, again, it's only been anti-cultists...

    Brigham Young

Sitting around watching smearing YouTube videos isn't research. Sitting you butt in a pew, opening your ears, and trying really hard to understand what this person believes, counts as real research. As soon as you've sat in so many pews, earnestly studying, as I have in your church, mine, and...

    Brigham Young

Nobody here is, including me. Actually the Adam-God ideas totally and completely rejected even by LDS Christians.
  8. J

    Brigham Young

    1) LDS Christians only believe in automatic infallibility for one single person on this earth: Christ. 2) Journal of Discourses isn't remotely an LDS Christian doctrinal source. 3) A newspaper definitely is not a doctrinal source either.

    Brigham Young

tzcho2, I would happily answer anyone questions or respond to anyone's post *assuming* that they are actually interested in the answer. CI is not remotely interested and has made that abundantly clear. Hence, responding is a total waste of time.

    Brigham Young

Hence why I don't bother with CI anymore. His/her fruit is bitter, including the stalker-level of slander he/she puts out against me. Such a person needs Christ desperately, as do we all.

    True or false?

Real faith & real love changes a person into a disciple: "If you love me, keep my commandments" - Jesus Christ.

    Why are you here?

I'm here because I enjoy chatting with other folks whom love God. Fellowship and learning about other people's views are big things for me. I've been/am on many other forums. This one is alright, hence my frequent visits. Others are... best avoided.

    True or false?

Amen to that and God's words in general.

    True or false?

Scripture is always of paramount importance.

    True or false?

Honestly him making such a big deal of his dad being a high priest is him buttering up his Evangelical audience. In reality, every LDS Christian male over the age of ~40 has the title of "high priest". It doesn't actually mean anything in terms of "getting it". Same with his mom working at...

    True or false?

The 20 something year old he describes did not remotely understand the Gospel that LDS Christins so strive to preach. He may of been sitting on an LDS Christian pew for 20 years, but (as he describes) he lacked any real understanding or conversion himself. Such bench-warmers exist in all...
  17. J

    True or false?

I do admire his dedication as he changed to an Evangelical Christian. But I was admire the dedication of those who become convicted in Christ and become LDS Christians despite all the adversity they face and loosing their world too.
  18. J

    True or false?

*Correcting a misunderstanding here* I was sad that he didn't "get it" for the first 20 years of his life. He didn't understand the Gospel (yes, even LDS Christians believe teach that). And that made me sad. I am happy he gets things now, that is always good.
  19. J

    True or false?

Yes. Anything in particular that you wanted to ask about it? Edit to add: I'm trying to be polite here. The speaker when he was young... it is amazing how long some people can sit in a pew and not actually "get it". Assuming what he said was accurate to his understanding then, he really...

    True or false?

My family was LDS Christian at that time. I was for some time, then took a break, and then re-convicted later (it's a long story). I've always loved visiting other churches and learning about their beliefs and better loving those people.
