A simple theology test is still a theology test. Note: I am not hating on this position, just stating what it is. I VERY firmly believe that Christ is the Son of God, and that fact is *extremely* important.

And hence you believe that we are saved by passing a theology test that includes stating that Christ is God who became man. I'm not hating on that position, merely stating what it is.

Or saved people that are horribly educated.

Your choices are: 1)We are saved by passing an academic theology test, which includes ____. 2)We are not saved by passing an academic theology test. It's that simple. You can't have it both ways.

Then you have added that level of theology test as a prerequeiste to salvation. I'm not hating on you or harassing or anything like that (I just wanted to state that to be clear). But I am trying to gain an accurate representation of what it is your beliefs are.

A fair post. My question is: 'knowing' academically, or 'knowing' as in to have a relationship with? We are saved by having a relationship with Christ, not by academics. Too many people mix up those.

I don't disagree that some people go decades with horrendous theological knowledge. That happens with painful frequency. But I also don't go around saying these people aren't saved. You have done that exact thing with @APAK .

Either we are: 1) Saved by our ability to pass a theology test and hence @APAK is not a saved. 2) Or we are not, and you acknowledge @APAK as a brother in Christ (even if a very misinformed one).

This little paragraph is self contradictory.

If you truly do not believe we are saved by our ability to pass a theology test, then you would happily acknowledge @APAK as your brother in Christ, even if you believe he is extremely misinformed (and then loving try to help your brother learn).

You didn't answer my question: is a person saved by their ability to pass an academic theology test? Because you are inconsistent. You answer "no" with your words, but then with your actions you deride others as not being saved because they doin't pass a theology test.
