    The necessity of the Trinity

Once again, thank you for your direct and informative response. It has really helped me have a better understanding of your beliefs.

    The necessity of the Trinity

...so... Do you believe Christ is talking to himself while he's praying?

    The necessity of the Trinity

Thank you again for your direct and informative answers. One clarification question-- So from what i"m getting here: you believe that the Father is the exact same thing/being/person as the Spirit. Correct?

    The necessity of the Trinity

FWIW: I 100% guarantee that what you think "Mormons" believe about Christ does not match actual LDS Christian beliefs. If you want, I can clarify what actual beliefs are. If you don't care and want to argue against ideas that people don't actually belief, that's your choice and whatever.

    The necessity of the Trinity

Big-picture note: I am asking to understand what you believe, and for no purpose other than that. I'm not here to hate on anyone or "prove" anything "right" or anything like that. I thank you for your response here. It directly addressed my question, stated your beliefs, was thorough, but not...

    The necessity of the Trinity

Ok, clicking over to that post... Thoughts as I'm reading #147 (this is just my train of thought): I didn't think that Bible Students were Arain. Hmm. Is the Arian position a match for Bible Students, or a approximation by others? An aside-- Also I really do perter to hear people explain...

    The necessity of the Trinity

Cool, thanks for answering. How would you say that your current views compare/contrast with the Athanasian Trinity? Note: I'm human and totally admit my eye gloss over with long post, so it would be appreciated if you could keep the answer short.

    The necessity of the Trinity

I am also gathering that you are not a Trinitarian. Don't worry-- no hate sauce here. Would you mind SHORTLY (<200 words) highlighting how your views compare/contrast with the Athanasian Trinity? The shortness request is simply for ease of conversing/understanding.

    The necessity of the Trinity

I am gathering that you are not a Trinitarian. I seem to be remembering that you are Bible Student (but not a JW). Is my memory working correctly in that regard?

    The necessity of the Trinity

That doesn't quite address the question I was meaning to ask. Let me try again: in Mathew 6:9-15, is Christ talking to Himself or a different person? So you believe passing an academic theology test IS required for salvation. Got it. *Thumbs up for friendlenss.* Feel free to PM me, if you'd...

    The necessity of the Trinity

*thumbs up* I am not understanding you here, I admit. Here: do you believe the Father and Son are the same person? Like does Christ pray to himself or a different person? Also, would you mind addressing my other question: do you believe that passing an academic theology test necessary for...

Your mind reading powers are solely failing you.

    The necessity of the Trinity

Ok, so you believe passing a theology test is necessary for salvation? (Not hating, just trying to understand) So you believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are all one person, correct? How does your view differ from modalism?

    The necessity of the Trinity

Some people are extremely unknowledgeable about the theological academics, especially when it comes to the nature of God. Doesn't mean that they are any less saved, as I have seen some others imply.

    The necessity of the Trinity

    *bump* for @101G

    The necessity of the Trinity

As long as it can be stated and agreed upon that having a correct academic understanding of God is not a prereq for salvation.

    The necessity of the Trinity

@101G , I'm sure you've explained it earlier in this thread, but would you mind just giving me a quick recap on what your view is and how it compares/contrasts with the Athanasian view of the Trinity? (No hate sauce here, I promise)

    The necessity of the Trinity

Before we continue onward in this discussion, can we solidify in agreement that- - A person is not saved by passing a theology test. - Neither is a person not saved by flunking a theology test. - Salvation instead comes from accepting Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as your Savior and King. Even...

Are Pastors Teaching a Watered-Down Gospel?

I've tried talking to CI many times, he doesn't care and just wants to spam hate about how I have two heads and three noses, and how I need to cut off my third nose to be be saved. It's just like he treats many other people on here. Frankly, CI blind vendettas (and habitual forum rule...

    The necessity of the Trinity

A critical defining piece of the Trinity doctrine: that the Father, Son, and Spirit are one God via consubstantiation--. "For the right Faith is, that we believe and confess; that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and Man; God, of the Substance [Essence] of the Father; begotten...
