Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Again, you're not acquainted with Scripture: only Jews are categorically "under Law", but all others are "without Law" (Ro 2:12).

It's Paul who draws the parallel, not me, so your argument is with him. Their salvation was a "type", so, obviously, it's not exactly what we have in Christ.

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

This is a tangential point, but you're mistaken: only Jews are "under Law", but Gentiles are "without Law" (Ro 2:12).

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Nope, God works, and we work with God's working.

Go ahead and feel sorry for me for believing Scripture, I'll just keep explaining my point from Scripture.

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Being under Law means to read the Law of Moses and rely on the weakness of the flesh to do God's will, but I'm saying "God is working, and we are to work with God's working", so, no, I don't believe or say anyone is "under Law", we just disagree with what it means to be "under Grace" (Ro 6:14).

    Already responded to these things with 1 Jn 2:28, 3:23,24, 5:11, 21.

Yup, He saved us--and that salvation is as the Jews' from slavery in Egypt, and, still, after, they sinned and fell under God's wrath and forfeited the promise, so the same can happen to us (1 Co 9:26-1 Co 10).

OK You claim you've proven your point, and I claim I've proven my point.

OK, so you believe you can be saved while not remaining in Him? What are you saved from if you're not in Him? If you're "cut off", you're not in His kindness, but under His severity (Ro 11:17-23). You're not receiving the eternal life that is in Him (1 Jn 3:23,24).

Yeah, and yet there is condemnation for the believer who does not walk in faith, but does things he doubts (Ro 14:23). Your view has no way of accounting for that.

No reason to denigrate me to disagree with me. Just prove your point from Scripture as I have done.

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Again, He only continues to supply the Spirit to those who remain in Him by obeying His commands: 1) "believe on the Name of God's Son", and 2) "love one another" (ie, "walk by faith", since faith "works by love" (Gal 5), and when we don't walk in faith we are "condemned" for "sin" (Ro 14:5,23)...

Stop misrepresenting me--I never said "we have to do it ourselves", it is us agreeing with God.

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Sorry I have to believe the Scripture--"obey, for it is God at work in you" means God is working and we are to work with that working.
  16. GracePeace

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Since we are commanded "remain in Him", it's partially our duty.
  17. GracePeace

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

It's not one or the other, it's both : "obey, for it is God at work in you" (Php 2:12,13).

    100% agree

Already addressed this: the life is "in His Son" (1 Jn 5:11), not all "remain in Him" (1 Jn 2:28), because not all continue to obey Him, so they don't continue being supplied with the "Spirit"/"eternal life" that is "in Him" (1 Jn 3:23,24).
