23 major reasons to reject the Premil doctrine!

Where have I said the destruction of historical Jerusalem in 67-70 was fulfillment of the AOD and Great Tribulation? When Christ warns of AOD and Great Tribulation He is warning His Christian disciples. Just because they happen to be Jews does not make Jerusalem and the earthly temple the...

I truthfully don't know what doctrinal position he's married to???

And what label do you give your doctrinal view? I seem to remember you claim to be postmillennial???

Rev 11:2 has been and is continuing to be fulfilled as time for this earth continues to go on.

23 major reasons to reject the Premil doctrine!

How do you define a Christian that believes both the AOD and Great Tribulation has been on-going since Christ came in His Kingdom in the first century AD to build His spiritual Kingdom in heaven, sending His church with His Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit unto all the earth?

23 major reasons to reject the Premil doctrine!

It would be silly to argue that Christ made no mention of the literal destruction that historical record, not Preterism proves was literally fulfilled between 67-70 AD. Where does Luke refer to Jerusalem as the "holy city"? It was the literal city of earthly Jerusalem that ceased to be holy...

    No More Death

I never said we were, nor do I believe we are.

    No More Death

Yes, they could have lived forever if they had not lost access to the tree of life. I don't believe a part of God's Spirit was breathed into them. I believe what Scripture affirms. God from earth/clay formed man from dust, and breathed into them the breath of life, that is divine...

    No More Death

This is true. But remember also that they, unlike we mortals coming after them were created from the dust of the earth, and their life breath (spirit) came directly from God, supernaturally. With the Spirit (breath of life) in them they could have lived forever if they had not disobeyed God...

    No More Death

I don't believe the Bible teaches the Father views those who are in Christ according to His grace through the gift of faith as DEAD to Him because of sin. We WERE the walking dead before we heard the Gospel, and by grace through faith in the power of the Word and Spirit we believed! We who...

23 major reasons to reject the Premil doctrine!

This is a clear indication of reading one's doctrine into the text rather than allowing the text to inform one's doctrine.

    No More Death

Before spewing more venom look carefully at the question mark you seem not to have noticed. I have never said that "we are already the new earth"! Your lack of carefully reading is that which is truly Laughable! Why would God resurrect the faithful from the graves to physical immortality and...

    No More Death

Christ says, "I make all things new" (Rev 21:5). That tells me nothing will be as it became after the fall of mankind but will once more be as it was at creation "very good". To be made new is to be without sin for those who were, not are, dead in trespasses and sins. We are not waiting to...

23 major reasons to reject the Premil doctrine!

I believe in this message John used symbolism of things familiar to him to teach spiritual truth. Similar to the way Christ used parables. For me to make sense of this chapter it helped to go back to chapter 10:8-11. John is told to take a little book; many believe to be the Word of God; the...

23 major reasons to reject the Premil doctrine!

Since Gentry holds to the view of an early writing of the book of Revelation (Pre AD 70), his eschatological position in my humble opinion is not biblically sound.

Not exactly! Do you believe this is or shall be literally fulfilled?
  17. R

23 major reasons to reject the Premil doctrine!

Well, I'm not surprised. Since you can't biblically refute, you resort to smear tactics, it's really very common here. You disparage a doctrine you clearly don't really understand.

I know what Preterism believes. However historical record affirms Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed then whether Preterits believe it or not. So continually calling/comparing Reformed Doctrine to Preterism is fundamentally untrue.

Yes, I understand that is your opinion! But I notice you offer no biblical proof texts for this opinion.
