    Justification by Faith Alone

Galatians 6:6-10 says eternal life is a harvest reaped in due time those who sow good deeds. Romans 2:6-16 says doers of good will be repaid eternal life. What is your answer?

    Justification by Faith Alone

Well, show me how I was wrong in my interpretation. If you have shown my interpretation was wrong by merely saying "such and such a Scripture", then I refute your Scripture by merely saying "such and such a Scripture", too. See how that works?

    Justification by Faith Alone

You said something to the effect that "it sounds like very few are being saved" and I agreed Jesus's teaching is just that. What do you have to say? Nothing.
  4. GracePeace

    Justification by Faith Alone

You are the one "mixing"--Romans 14:23 says justification is compromised by sin. James 2 says the same. Romans 2:6-16 says the same. Galatians 6:6-10 says the same.
  5. GracePeace

    Justification by Faith Alone

The Scripture tells US "obey because God is at work". If YOU misunderstand that as "God may fail" that's not my fault.
  6. GracePeace

    Justification by Faith Alone

So, Paul refutes Paul? LOL! That's an "interesting" way of reading Scripture! No thanks!
  7. GracePeace

    Justification by Faith Alone

So, which part did you not like? The part where I cited Scripture or the part where I cited Scripture? LOL! You just don't like what I have to say because you have no way of defending your partial doctrines ("I'm forgiven, God isn't mad at me! I'm at peace with God!") against the other part I'm...

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

LOL He will send His disciples to hell fire? "Oh, what a tangled web we weave..."

    Baptismal Regeneration

You asked why I didn't want to cite it. I told you why. Yes, in order to get inside of them it does have to get on them. This was the fulfillment of Joel's prophecy that God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh and that men would prophesy--that is an internal work as referred to in 1...

    Justification by Faith Alone

Of course God does it--that's exactly what I've said. Just as it wasn't Paul who sinned but sin in him, so, also, since we are "in Christ", where the Law of the Spirit of Life is, it isn't us working, it is God working--and still we are told "obey for it is God at work" Philippians 2:12-13.
  11. GracePeace

    Justification by Faith Alone

Well, when you consider what you're supposed to do is love God and others and do right why wouldn't that be filled with hope and love and faith? Oh, I wouldn't want to sound like Jesus or anything! Matthew 7:14 For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there...

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

I've already shared these things with you many times but you haven't paid attention. Hope you pay attention this time. 1 Peter 1:23 ...for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God "My Word is Spirit" John...

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

I only took issue with the way you put it not with the idea that the Bible is consistent--also I disagree with your mishandling of the Scriptures.
  14. GracePeace

    Justification by Faith Alone

I've already explained what it is comparable to--the Jews' deliverance from Egypt the House of Bondage. Jesus destroys the body of sin and places us in Himself so that we can be delivered from sin. "Whoever sins is a slave of sin." Our "salvation" is as the Jews' deliverance from Egypt. Still...

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

I won't lose the forest for the trees. The entire context of the conversation, and of the book, show me "water and Spirit" refers to the new birth. By your reasoning, "He will baptize you with Spirit and fire" isn't a single baptism--but it is.
  16. GracePeace

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

So "He will baptize you in Spirit and fire"... is fire different from the Spirit or didn't the disciples have tongues of fire when they were baptized with the Spirit? Isn't God a consuming fire and the Spirit is the Spirit of God the consuming fire? Come on, man, it's so obvious.

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

I invite anyone to go look at all of his citations so that you can see he offered no proof that "born of water" was a normative way of referring to "natural birth". I go by what the author provides me with--"water... spoke of the Spirit".
  18. GracePeace

    Justification by Faith Alone

It does not follow from the idea that we must trust and obey (which I've proven--you've had no defense for your position) that this obedience must be characterized by "struggling"--actually, from what I understand, it is to be characterized by hope and love as I've detailed.
  19. GracePeace

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

Well, again, "water... this He spoke of the Spirit" is in the same book, I don't need to go anywhere else.
  20. GracePeace

John 3 - Born of Water and Spirit

No, being born of the Word and Spirit is one new birth--you receive the Spirit by receiving the Word of the Spirit. I've explained this many times yet you want to pretend for the sake of your argument (forget about truth--you have to be right) that I haven't. You haven't shown anything from...
