Do You Advertise This Forum to Your Church?

I like this forum and find it overall has a pretty good welcoming community -- obviously not perfect -- but there are many good people here. So I have recommended it to other folks in my church whom are looking for a online community with other Christians. Our congregation has a Facebook page...

    Hello ChristianBoard,

Hi welcome to the forums! I am relatively new here too, and have thus far enjoyed a (generally) loving Christian attitude here. Yes, there are some folks that like to bitter and push buttons, but... frankly I just ignore them and continue having a good time.

Modern Day Tongue Speakers Roll Call Poll

*Post just going off the survey, not reading any comments* I believe that the gift of tongues does exist and it is a gift of the Spirit. It allows men to communicate the Gospel to people in that person's language so that they can understand it (like into Spanish for example). Not shouting...

It is never too soon to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

But do you really think threats of Hellfire is the best way to bring a person to Christ?

It is never too soon to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

I'm also going to go out here on a limb and say I don't like it when folks use fear as a tactic to motivate people. Rather, let us come unto Christ because of joy and love. Also, let us remember that Christ is to be our Lord and Savior whom we come unto every day, not just once.

    Musings on meditation

Yes-- meditating as in to pray, ponder, consider, and dwell on things in a contemplative manner. In fact I consider such to be essential for my functioning as an individual. It's... my personal reflection time. Subject range all over the place, and the where is wherever I happen to be (though...

The Iniquity of the Nicene Creed

And if two different people earnestly study the Bible and come to two different conclusions....

"Christians" Attacking and Slandering Christians What is more Pathetic??

If that person happens to be sola scriptura and believe the Bible consists of only 66 books ;)

The Iniquity of the Nicene Creed

And again, people study those same scriptures and come to a variety of conclusions.

The Iniquity of the Nicene Creed

And there are many different opinions on which view that is, not just two (Arian & Nicene/Anthanasian).

The Iniquity of the Nicene Creed

I find this to be overly simplistic: there are many views of the nature of God besides just Nicene/Anthanasian and Arian.

Sola Scriptura - foundational to Protestantism - and to good Bible doctrine

“I will shew thee my faith by my works.“

Great OP! For me, I try to focus really hard on showing people Christ-like love. I try to be respectful, kind, and loving, even when we disagree. I try really hard to be there for my friends-- including the friend I have just met. Answer honestly, be true to my word. Now of course a key...

    Doing and not doing ?

Honestly, I've seen a lot of folks get really caught up in word games around 'work'. I don't think that's a very productive path to go down. For my view: being alive involves moving and taking action. We are alive in Christ. Believing is a verb, accepting is a verb, having faith is a verb...

    Doing and not doing ?

Agreed- the idea of working your way to heaven is laughable. Though we should indeed strive to follow our Lord's commands.

    Let's All Thread

I'm really not interested in literally repeating a conversation we have already had. That's not just a good use for either of our time.

    Let's All Thread

You and I actually chatted for two weeks on ChristianForums, with all these exact same posts and videos. You became very frustrated that I do not share SDA's interpretation of things and the conversation ended.
