What's your purpose at a forum such as this?

Self focus has been the human issue since early times.

What's your purpose at a forum such as this?

Ever wonder why Jesus never told the folks, 'now listen here, I'm from the realm of heaven; I've come here to tell you what you don't know; I have that right because of who I am ?

    Don't drink cow's milk ..

As good as breast milk might be, I've stopped drinking it some time ago. Should I go back onto it?

And what would the phase be when what you think is the determiner?

What Did Jesus's Contemporaries Know About His Familial Beginnings?

Of course it was. They also knew who Jesus was but didn't want to know it. Not only were the details of his birth known but a record of Herod's massacre; Jesus' encounter with the top brass in the Temple at age 12 did not escape them and so on. When one doesn't want to know and denies certain...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Is this rant your witness to Jehovah?

"Faith is believing what you know ain't so" (Mark Twain).

We are 'Queen Mary's' so to speak, each having its own inertia and requiring our own space to turn with only God knowing the accurate details of what generated that inertia and what promptings are required to shift the trajectory. Consider Paul's dramatic experience on the Damascus road, however...

"Faith is believing what you know ain't so" (Mark Twain).

'The foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men....' I Corinthians 1:25 Having pondered on the nature of the foolishness of God and its manifestation and that of the wisdom of men, this brown duck can't escape the conclusion that the reality of Jesus exposes both. The question how this...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

God's thoughts are revealed in the revelation of Jesus. Mans thoughts are revealed by distracting from God's thoughts and supplanting them with his own (self orientation)

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Self appointed chiefs abound and glory hunters a dime a dozen!.....who needs that?

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

You have shot yourself in the foot ElieG by assuming your view is not an opinion. If you feel you have something of value to share why not tell us of Jehovah, the one you say you are a witness to.

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Why bang the same old drum; the sound of others being wrong and I have the right path. Whether that is true or not is beside the point.....the point being, this approach does nothing to qualify what is true, to validate your view or to bring glory to God.

HELP US O LORD TO GIVE THE MORE EARNEST HEED

A great selection of texts. Who can hear them?

Searching For The Name Of God

I can imagine God got a chuckle out of that.

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

The Queen Mary aint turned around on a dime. Our lives have momentum. It is the Devil who has the power of death. For it to register that it is not God who is the killer can take some theological adjustment....even scrapping

Bible was never written to you

Bible was never written to you Ohhhh, then have I misunderstood 1 Corinthians 1:2-3 ? 'To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed Brainwashing happens to us all it matters not who we are or where we are from. In a certain sense brainwashing is required from/of the brainwashing :) Deconstructing is as indispensable as building on a solid foundation if...

Is the Good News actual news? - No longer news to most

As I implied earlier, it is your paradigm of how God operates that mimics that of the fallen parent. Are you not familiar with the account Jesus tells of the wedding feast of the lamb where he (the bridegroom) puts on an apron to serve us? What do you assume he might be trying to convey to us...

Sooo, to continue with your logic, you have children so that they can serve you...ie, take out the garbage, wash the dishes, clean the toilet?......and if they don't you get out the big stick.

I guess the term 'gift' let alone 'free', doesn't fit into your paradigm. One of earning aka 'trade', would suit you better!
