Poll: Do we worship the God of the old covenant?

Okay then Steve, I believe Jesus was and is God. And yes, we worship the SAME God that made the old covenant and ushered in the new covenant with Christ. It's not another God.

Poll: Do we worship the God of the old covenant?

I did pretty much state as much in my post above. But I will word it differently here: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8 God does not change...simple really, and comforting as, we know that only good comes from Him. "Every good gift and every perfect...

Poll: Do we worship the God of the old covenant?

Well, like number 3 states...He NEVER changes. His covenants do but He does not. IMHO! :)

    Were they Jesus's siblings?

There is only one reason I can see, and @Aunty Jane already stated it :)

    Don't drink cow's milk ..

Has anyone mentioned "just Lot" and how he was ready and willing to give his virgin daughters to those men. Go did not seem angry at that. Wow, if my father ever did that to me or my sisters, I would rather have died! I've had run ins with men at an early age, and then even more filthy pigs at...

    Salome

Oh, she is getting so big now! Of course, I will pray for her in this! God Jesus will be there with her! God bless you Salome!

    Don't drink cow's milk ..

If God blessed it for food, good enough for me. Just nothing strangled or with blood left in it...and food offered to idols (not quite sure what that means other than, something like sitting at a table with say, a rock star, or a movie star who gets all kinds of praises and worship from lost...

    What does God want?

First off, we do not demand to know the "why's" of His commands, like we would know a better way. That is true trust and faith IMHO. And in answer to your above post: "Oh geez, STOP! Obedience is not like us being a bunch of robots. Our secular laws do enough of THAT."<---You assume I think...

    What does God want?

Like saying "God I "Want " to love you, but...that kind of sounds like an attempt to serve both God and mammon. Just sayin, JMO!

    What does God want?

BTW- There is no constant state of simply "wanting" to obey, the scriptures state "to obey".

    What does God want?

Hello Mink, welcome to the forums. You seem to think that you know my heart and thoughts and intentions, how very presuming of you :) What one might deem a sin so, for them, it is. James 4:16-17 "…16 As it is, you boast in your proud intentions. All such boasting is evil. 17Anyone, then, who...

    What does God want?

Obedience. To God, obedience to Him IS the love we express to Him. And loving Him is the first and most important commandment which has not at all changed in the NT. IF we are obeying Him then, we know that we love Him. JM2C :)

It's LAZY to post a verse name/number without the actual verbiage

Your Mileage Might Vary? YMMV? Ok then, lol! I am bad at the addresses (chapt. and verse) as I'm not good at all with numbers. Words and spelling come pretty easy to me tho. The KJV even though it is not the only version I use, but it is what I started with a loooong time ago and, it is easy...

It's LAZY to post a verse name/number without the actual verbiage

Hey Reets! I agree with you here. It DOES make you dig deeper when having to look up the verse in question, and the parallels verse's too. It was convenient when we were able to just hover our cursor over the verses and it would pop right up but...I think I do like it better now. Bible Hub is...

It's LAZY to post a verse name/number without the actual verbiage

You guys are on a roll! It is said that one who talks too much could be considered to be exaggerating (lying, really) a lot. It can also be said the one who is not so talkative, with so many opinions, could be brilliant OR ignorant, hence the silence. So, either bored or ignorant OR...
