I don't know why it says in the bible about a land with milk and honey.
There was likely no danger in drinking cow's milk 3500 years ago.
A big issue is genetic entropy. Animal products for food are more harmful today in much the same way we no longer intermarry with close relatives. Genetic mutations increase with every generation.
Atrocious practices in animal husbandry are responsible for virtually every widespread infectious disease in humans including the latest and greatest—SARS-CoV-2. Scientists are expecting a flu pandemic any time now.
Oxidized cholesterol and arachidonic acid are causing inflammatory chronic degenerative diseases in humans at an alarmingly increasing rate. The life expectancy for Americans began to steadily decline in 2020 (for the first time in nearly 100 years) with little correlation to COVID.
Alzheimer's and Diabetes (which doesn't even include "pre-diabetes," a disingenuous designation that
always leads to the real thing without lifestyle intervention) are on the rise, even while lung cancer rates dropped which was expected to improve the overall state of American health, but couldn't manage to do so in the wake of other increases.
COVID did more damage by extension than directly, spurring a mental and physical health crisis. The CDC still hasn't released mental health data for the COVID era, and the news is expected to be very bad.
Despite the bleak picture all of this paints, we actually know more than ever about how to remedy what ails America even if we do seem far less able to put it into practice.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ can be helpful for this far beyond what most folks dare to believe.
NEWSTART Now is a good place to get started for any who might hear the call from John 10:10 and other Scripture where God expresses His compassion for our physical needs and concern for the care and keeping of the temple of the Holy Spirit. :)
