    Bible alone

All right, so go to the Scriptures to become wise in the faith. See ya.

So yeah Paul disagrees and directs you to God's Word to find out what God says about His Son. Absolutely shocking and flabberghasting that that could be where God puts His Words to us--in His Word--yet, there we have it. I guess we just have to receive it as an article of faith since it makes no...

Irrelevant. I'm saying Scripture teaches the holy faith.

... and the faith is taught in Scripture which is why Paul had so many doctrines to teach us--he was the lawyer or scribe Jesus mentioned converting who brings forth from his treasury things both new and old. Scripture is where the New Testament faith came from.

Why are you confused by such a simple commandment? You've been brainwashed, that's why. You can't believe God. You believe someone else. "This persuasion does not come from Him Who calls".

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

Oh sorry I thought I was on a discussion forum and that I was discussing Christianity with Christians. My mistake. Carry on.

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

Yes, and you were off-topic. The OP ASSUMES we are "not under Law" (thus your attempt to put people under Law is off-topic) and is asking how to parse "works of Law" from "good works".

An Apostle who directed us to do the same thing he did to become wise unto salvation through faith in Jesus--read Scripture. "The faith" is taught in Scripture says the Apostle 2 Timothy 3.

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

You're not responding to what I've said. Not sure what you're responding to.

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

Well, yes, I know there're people who reject the plain meaning of those verses, but, for the rest of us, those verses mean exactly what they say and then the reconciliation between they and other verses which seem to be contradictory is sought and found so that all the verses are treated...

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

You're not addressing what I said in response to you.
  12. GracePeace

    Bible alone

No, and you didn't address what I said in that post you merely parroted the same empty things you always do.
  13. GracePeace

    Bible alone

Paul wasn't. He got many revelations of the faith through Scripture--and so commended men to the Scripture to obtain the same education in the faith 2 Timothy 3:16.
  14. GracePeace

    Bible alone

    It didn't contradict Scripture.
  15. GracePeace

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

I've already explained why it's not (not necessarily)--I'll wait for your answer to that.
  16. GracePeace

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

    Off-topic.
  17. GracePeace

    Bible alone

Well if he tells me to live by Enoch's prophecy, but doesn't himself, he's a hypocrite and his hypocrisy is enshrined in your perfect little book for all to see!
  18. GracePeace

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

    Yeah, it's not that simple.
  19. GracePeace

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

In other words, there's ALOT of overlap between "good works the Law commands" the doing of which is condemned and "good deeds" which we are turned to when we are turned away from "works of Law" Galatians 3:1-5 Galatians 5:5-14.
