    Bible alone

Yes we have the Spirit to that teaches us to love one another and have no need that any man teach us, but there is another class of doctrine which is given to humble men to disseminate to the body of Christ. Irrespectively, the Word of God BOTH condemns every evil work contrary to sound doctrine...

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

Which goes back to Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and flesh versus Tree of Life and Spirit. Who produces it is the question.

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

    1. This issue of "bondage" Galatians 5:1 is important--but it is not as though the Law is the only route to bondage (sin is slavery). I think it's possible to be in an equivalent state to "under Law", fearful in service (eg, Matthew 25:26), even without the Law. Hebrews mentions "shrinking back"...

    Bible alone

My point was the incompleteness of "the Bible" anthology is evinced in that it cites authoritatively from sources it does not contain not in that what is commonly accepted as "The Book of Enoch" is authentic.

    I didn't say Book I said Enoch.

So Jude didn't live by Enoch but enjoined others to do so--he was a hypocrite and we have his hypocrisy enshrined in our perfect complete infallible rule we are to live by. Interesting take.

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

To put it another way, "works of Law" might be what are produced by someone alive to Law and dead to God Galatians 5:4 whereas "good works" would be produced by someone dead to Law alive to God Galatians 2:19. The issue is not the aim (which is agreed upon--righteousness) but the...

Eternal Life is a Harvest Reaped by Doers of Good

Answer the OP--Scripture teaches eternal life is a repayment for good deeds.

    Bible alone

What's in the Bible BOTH condemns all deeds contrary to sound doctrine 1 Timothy 1:9-10 AND "equips for every good work" (it makes sense these are both true simultaneously as they are two sides of the same coin). We don't need anything else. God put His will for us in His Word and wrote those...

Good Works Vs Works Of The Law

This is the view held by the preeminent Pauline scholar, NT Wright, and it has a problem : "works of Law" includes universal moral injunctions and prohibitions like "do not covet" Romans 3:19-20 Romans 7:7.

God was Husband to His People + Jesus is Husband to God's People = Jesus is God

I absolutely take one side! lol! I do see both sides can love and know God though. Thanks!

Eternal Life is a Harvest Reaped by Doers of Good

I cited passages that teach eternal life is a repayment for good deeds. Where are your responses to those passages? Nowhere to be found.

What I LOLd at was your "Inquisition" into the ignorance of his "'7th Day Sabbath'-keeping".

God was Husband to His People + Jesus is Husband to God's People = Jesus is God

I was looking to provide a solid argument to help people on both sides end the debate--whether people on either side can love God (I hold they can) is neither here nor there.

You don't have a taste for Scripture eh?
