    Another question for mormons.

Please remember what is written, 1Pe 3:15, But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1Pe 3:16, Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of...

    Another question for mormons.

@Jane_Doe22. @Grailhunter, The book of mormon is said to be "another testament of Jesus Christ". Now, I have not finished reading through the book of mormon so I do not have all of the information in it; but I have this question: In Hebrews 9 it is written, Heb 9:16, For where a testament...

Who wants to Judge a Man of God who lives i Health and Prosperity??

Of course we know that the brother of low degree is exalted; while the rich man is made low (James 1:9-10). Does this mean that if you seek riches you are humbling yourself?

    The Word of God

It was in Hebrew that Paul spoke to them. G1446 hebrais. Strong’s Definitions G1443; the Hebraistic (Hebrew) or Jewish (Chaldee) language:—Hebrew. Ἑβραΐς [WH Ἐβρ., see their Introductory § 408], -ίδος, ἡ, Hebrew, the Hebrew language; not that however in which the O. T. was written, but the...

HOW TO RECOGNIZE A REAL TEACHER PART 3

Truth is stranger than fiction. If you have the Holy Spirit then you have the expertise that is required to be able to interpret the word of the Lord....He has promised that if we have Him, He will guide us into all truth (John 16:13). The way we were looking at it, the car represents the...

    Dead in Sin !

Amazing! Forgive me if I am suspending belief right now. So you remember the whole nine months of being in the womb? What was that like (for you)?

    Dead in Sin !

I do remember remembering being in the womb. Likewise, a person can't be saved without repenting. For we have determined that these things happen at the same time; both salvation and repentance being the (same) gift of God. All men every where are born again? That is Universalism; a...

    Salvation the free gift

But as we know some like to downplay repentance and man's responsibility.

    Dead in Sin !

When it's time for the baby to come out it usually comes out because it wants to come out.
  10. J

    Dead in Sin !

You forgot already, this scripture: Act 17:30, And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
  11. J

    Dead in Sin !

God will begin to quicken a man but he must receive that quickening in order for it to come in full force. He succours (helps) us in the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2) to make a decision to either wake up fully or else go back to sleep (back into spiritual death).
  12. J

    Dead in Sin !

Since repentance and salvation happen at the same time, it cannot be said that salvation is the reason for repentance. Repentance is a major aspect of the salvation given; salvation cannot happen without it.
  13. J

    Dead in Sin !

And repentance, also, is an act of the will (Joshua 24:15, John 1:12, Revelation 22:17).
  14. J

    Dead in Sin !

Which precludes that repentance can indeed be the catalyst for salvation as repentance does not happen after salvation but at the very same time.
  15. J

    Dead in Sin !

And this would indicate that repentance and salvation happen at the exact same time, as the gift of the Lord to us.
  16. J

    Dead in Sin !

A gift must be received in order for the person to have possession of it.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE A REAL TEACHER PART 3

Why are yo contending for the idea that there are contradictions in the Bible? Judas fell headlong into the rope of hanging and all of his bowels gushed out in the field Aceldama where the tree was located (no coincidence that it was the same field that was purchased by Judas' blood money)...

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

Pray something like this: Dear Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I receive you as my Lord and Saviour. I admit that I am a sinner in need of a Saviour and that You are the Savour that I need. I ask You to forgive me of all of my sins. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I confess that You are the...

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

Iow, if you won't be baptized, be certain that you at least call upon the name of the Lord. If you merely believe and do not do one of these other two things, there is a possibility that you won't make it into the kingdom of heaven. I'm not necessarily talking to you here, @CadyandZoe.

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

Then we will have to agree to disagree. I would suggest to you that you ought not to discourage people from getting baptized (in water), however; by telling them that it isn't necessary or that it doesn't have the power to save a man. For I consider that a man can be saved through mere belief...
