    Dead in Sin !

Practical sins are sins that you commit, as opposed to the element of sin (as a principle) dwelling in your flesh. Hope this helps.

    The Trinity definition

Since most people believe that the Father is "the LORD", I will say that according to Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21, the Father is also "the Lord" and therefore when we read either spelling of the word, it can be interpreted phonetically. "The LORD" is "the Lord" according to the verses above...

    The Trinity definition

I hope that you can see that you are denying the testimony of holy scripture in Ephesians 4:4 here.

OSAS.... what does this really mean ?

If anyone denies the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, they are not a brother in Christ and will die in their sins (John 8:24).

OSAS anyone? Opinions on Once Saved Always Saved

Jesus is the only way to obtain the holiness of God...we walk in holiness because of abiding in the vine (John 15:1-8, 1 John 3:6). However, to become a branch in the vine, a man must repent of his sins (Ezekiel 33:11-20, Matthew 3, Luke 13:1-5).

OSAS.... what does this really mean ?

Except that a case can be made for this in holy scripture (not that I agree with it; for I know the scriptures that promise eternal security). God is not afraid of dissenting doctrines; He can most certainly deal with them using the word. He is most certainly able to place His people in...

    John 3:16 = Blood

I will continue to be me... However, my righteousness will be as the righteousness of Christ if I am truly born again (1 John 3:7, 1 John 3:3, 1 John 2:6).

OSAS.... what does this really mean ?

See Psalms 139:8. God is definitely present in hell; for He is Omnipresent. Actually, see Matthew 10:22, Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14. Of course it is not by self-effort that we endure to the end. We endure to the end because we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians...

    Dead in Sin !

They can justly blame god, then, for their place in hell; because he predestinated them to go there not on the basis of their rejection of him but on the basis of his "good pleasure". I don't know how your god can live with himself. My understanding that we have access by faith into this grace...

    The Trinity definition

Yes, see Isaiah 9:6. There the son that was given is called the everlasting Father; and in order to deny this you have to change the intended meaning of scripture not once, but twice. Again, see Isaiah 9:6. Christ is given the name of "Wonderful Counsellor." Now take a wild look at...

OSAS.... what does this really mean ?

You fraternize with people who deny indwelling sin and call out as false teachers those who preach repentance...:confused:o_O:(
  12. J

    Not faith alone?

Again, that is talking about indwelling sin; not practical sins.

    Dead in Sin !

We are all a stench in the nostrils of God, it would seem...if we are not pure we are impure...and that is also a stench in His nostrils. What can be done for us if no matter what we do we are a stench in the nostrils of God? He will say to every one of us "depart from me, ye workers of...

    Dead in Sin !

Hi @CharismaticLady, I believe that 1 John 1:8 is not in contradiction to 1 John 3:9, 1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17 in that the former verse is speaking of indwelling sin whereas the latter verses are speaking of practical sins. While the element of sin is not eradicated from us, it can be rendered...

They made it clear what they thought, later, in John 10:31-33.

    The Trinity definition

Of course God's ways are not foolish...but the scripture is saying that they seem foolish to the ones who are perishing. This would apply to you because you are going to die in your sins over your denial of Christ's Deity (John 8:24). I am not a modalist. But neither am I a Tritheist. I...

    The Trinity definition

However, He did say this in another context (Isaiah 55:8-9).
  18. J

    The Trinity definition

He didn't "need to be" God. He simply was God.

    The Trinity definition

I can say unequivocally that I understand the Trinity. Have you read my explanation of it in the thread that I provided for you? (posts #1-#6): True Trinity.

    The Trinity definition

Again, I will respond with the apparent non-sequitur (which follows logically from your statement), that the preaching of the Cross is foolishness (nonsense) to those who perish; but to us who are being saved it is the power of the Lord.
