And of course this was the reason why the Pharisees picked up stones to stone Jesus in John 8:59...because He had claimed to be God in John 8:58. In John 10:31-33 we find this to be true...that the Pharisees wanted to stone Jesus because "thou, being a man, makest thyself God."
