    Not faith alone?

Going to bed after this response. No, I don't have smorgasborg religion...I read both the OT and the NT...I do not pick the NT only to be my spiritual diet (as a part).

    I disagree.

    Not faith alone?

I stay primarily in the NT; but I also do not neglect the OT; because it also is inspired of the Lord. And it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). And we can also be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the...

No: see 2 Timothy 3:16. 2 Peter 1:3-4 is also good.

    Not faith alone?

My dad is one...I became a believer because I despised the disgrace that he brought to our family (worthy of Jesus). I love him and pray that he will be saved; but if God puts him in hell I will consider it to be a just action on His part. As for your latter statement, can you please reiterate...

    Not faith alone?

Praise the LORD. When the Holy Spirit pinpoints sin to my awareness, I am the first one to confess it. I have even made the confession that is found in Psalms 51:3...so maybe I am covered for the rest of my life.

You seemed to think that the law is some kind of horrible thing because within it, God executes adulterers and sodomites. Well, the NT sets forth an even deeper punishment.

Actually, it means the opposite. You are as blind as a bat. What does this mean?... Psa 51:7, Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

    Not faith alone?

What does it mean to be cleansed from all unrighteousness?
  13. J

    Not faith alone?

Most assuredly, the Lord executes in hell, adulterers and sodomites and the rest.

You appear to me to be hard-hearted and stubborn. You will not even read the scripture as it is truly written.

    Not faith alone?

That is an ironic statement when I consider your signature.

Some great Bible teachers speak of it (Charles Stanley for example). In 1 John 1:8, it does not say, "If we say that we do not sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." Look at it again.

To win them to Christ... Keep reading...I have spoken all over the place about what is the purpose of the law of Moses.

    Not faith alone?

Again, 1 John 1:8 is speaking of indwelling sin; while 1 John 3:9, 1 John 3:6, and 1 John 2:17 speak of the committing of sins (practical sinning). The element of sin can be rendered dead within a man (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any say or authority over...

    Not faith alone?

The righteousness of the law is fulfilled in me when I walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:4).

Does ALL sins include "Past, Present and Future" sins?

What is the context of Ezekiel 33?
