    Mary, Queen of Heaven

    Bye now.

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

Col 2:12, Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. Because after they are saved, they get the Holy Spirit. 1) it is not in order to become saved; 2) if it is salvation by works, there is...

    Not faith alone?

Hi @Jennifera198337, It should not escape your notice as an avid Bible student that we are not justified through law-keeping (Romans 3:20, Galatians 2:16) . However, it is also true, to cut to the chase, that if we walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh, the righteousness of the law...

entire sanctification is an obtainable goal.

Yes in this life (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (kjv)). This is one instance in which other translations than the kjv water down the message of holy scripture.

    Not faith alone?

No one keeps the law (Galatians 6:13). The law is given as a schoolmaster to lead men to Christ (Galatians 3:24), showing mankind that he is a sinner in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20); thus converting his soul (Psalms 19:7 (kjv)). What half verse did I quote? My specific style of ministry...

I'm going to get some sleep... Perhaps I will see you in the morning.

    Not faith alone?

Nothing...I just thought that I noticed that your sleeping patterns are irregular. Because mine have also been irregular...and we have been engaging pretty consistently.

    Not faith alone?

It is not good to quote half a verse...that is what the devil does. The law of Moses is not only for Israel. Before we came to faith, we were kept under it (Galatians 3:23). Are we not Gentiles? And unbelieving Gentiles will be held accountable by the law and counted as guilty before God...

    Not faith alone?

    How long ago?

    Not faith alone?

That goes without saying. It doesn't mean that they shouldn't preach it as a schoolmaster to lead men to Christ (Galatians 3:24, Romans 3:20, Psalms 19:7 (kjv)). If the preacher is forgiven, he is not bound by what he is preaching...he understands that he is a sinner saved by grace; and is...

@kcnalp, when is the last time you got some sleep?
  12. J

    Not faith alone?

    I did comment.

    Not faith alone?

Of course, and I agree that I don't keep it (see Galatians 6:13). I thought that you were saying that my assessment that gays ought to be called homosexuals or sodomites was, in your estimation, not keeping the law of Moses.

    Not faith alone?

I don't need to ask him...I see from the record here that he didn't say that others can't be forgiven. Unless I missed something. Do you want to point out the post where he said others can't be forgiven (if there was one)?
  15. J

    Not faith alone?

    How do you figure?
  16. J

    Not faith alone?

I think that he has a valid point. I know that because I am born again, I am obedient to the laws that he is talking about at a heart level.
  17. J

    Not faith alone?

Did he say that others can't be forgiven?
  18. J

    Not faith alone?

No; but I also don't identify them according to their political agenda. They are accurately identified as homosexuals or as sodomites.
  19. J

    Not faith alone?

Again, these are not works of the law...these are not doing what is in violation of the law. Works have to do with positive behaviour that you do because you love other people in obedience to the law.

    Not faith alone?

Not doing something, I would not count as a work. If we bear the fruit of the Spirit, there is no law against such fruit. But not violating the law in this instance does not count as a work but as fruit.
