    Not faith alone?

It does not only talk about the works of the law as not being salvational; but works in general.

Can we trust Jesus promises ?

Of course...and it wasn't taken personally.

    Not faith alone?

If Jesus gives you a talent to go and trade and produce with and you hide it in the sand, you will be counted as a lazy and slothful servant...and may even be cast into outer darkness.

    Not faith alone?

Nevertheless we are saved "not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:9 (kjv))
  5. J

    Not faith alone?

What about "through faith apart from works"? Romans 4:5-6, Titus 3:5 (kjv), Romans 11:5-6 (kjv), Ephesians 2:8-9.

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

The Holy Spirit testifies utilizing holy scripture. If you can read the holy scriptures and nothing changes, there is something deeply wrong.

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

If you want to chalk my statements up to being mere opinion, that is your prerogative. But if I am in fact speaking by the Spirit of God, then you are hardening your heart against His testimony in doing so. I suggest that you read Hebrews 3:7-8, Hebrews 3:15, and Hebrews 4:7.

How Powerful is the Blood of Jesus?

Take it or leave it. That's your excuse for not accepting the testimony of that scripture. Notice that I did not "divide" it...I merely quoted it. It is not proper hermeneutics to utilize "the context" to nullify the claim that a passage of holy scripture is making on your life.

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Oh well...I guess that you aren't sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

How Powerful is the Blood of Jesus?

It is holy scripture, inspired by God; and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

How Powerful is the Blood of Jesus?

The only thing is, you are not testifying by the Spirit.

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Nope. Read my references in my last post.

How Powerful is the Blood of Jesus?

I am not going by what you are saying...I am going by what the Holy Spirit is saying.

How Powerful is the Blood of Jesus?

The following scripture speaks to me so clearly of the need to repent and literally not commit the same sins any more. Eze 33:11, Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from...

    The Creator's Remorse

The Father created everyone knowing that they would sin...but also knowing that He had a plan whereby He would provide redemption for that sin. Rom 9:22, What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Sinners in that they have indwelling sin (1 John 1:8, 1 Timothy 1:15). Not sinners in that the element of sin is rendered dead within them (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) (not eradicated but made dead) so that sin no longer has any authority over their behaviour (Romans 6:14). See 1...

Is the messiah the father himself in flesh?

Again, it is here: Is the messiah the father himself in flesh? (the condensed version of my definition of distinct as concerning the members of the Godhead). Just left-click on the link and it should come right up.

    Not faith alone?

How does 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (kjv) apply to the verse in the OP? 2Th 3:3, But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Can we trust Jesus promises ?

I wasn't expecting you to engage...you made it clear previously that you wouldn't. I was just putting in my two cents. It is fine with me if you don't respond to my statements.

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

That is a perverting of the text...in the kjv it says "should not perish"... So then, believe +baptized = shall be saved. (Mark 16:16) mere believing = should not perish. (John 3:16) calling on the name of the Lord = shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
