The False Doctrines with OTHER key words

It's saying that if you are currently walking in willful sins, you're not saved. . . . That can be remedied if you will come to the knowledge of the truth (that you must repent in order to be saved).

The False Doctrines with OTHER key words

The sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross was a sacrifice for sins. If we sin willfully after coming to the knowledge of the truth, it does not remain according to the scriptures at hand.

The False Doctrines with OTHER key words

The context (Hebrews 10:12) indicates that the sacrifice being referred to is the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross.

To @DNB concerning the Deity of Christ...

It is from the Holy Spirit. I am afraid for you that you have committed the unpardonable sin; by attributing what is of the Holy Spirit to the devil. I think you're living on borrowed time.

The False Doctrines with OTHER key words

If we sin willfully against Him after coming to the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins (Hebrews 10:26-31).

To @DNB concerning the Deity of Christ...

I think that the real question is what does the "Word" (capital "W") mean in holy scripture? The answer is that the Word was in the beginning, was with God, and was God (John 1:1). Without Him nothing has been made that has been made (John 1:3). The Word, also became flesh and dwelt among us...

To @DNB concerning the Deity of Christ...

We will have to agree to disagree; and also hope that you haven't crossed the line into becoming unsaveable.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

When has my use of the scriptures ever been debunked? There is a sense in which Jesus is the law...in another sense (in Romans 7:1-6), we come out from being married to the law to becoming married to Jesus Christ...in this, we are no longer married to the law, according to that scripture...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Again I will say that the only true motivation for doing good works has to be the fact that one is already saved and is eternally grateful to the Lord for his salvation (Luke 7:36-50) and loves Him because He first loved him (1 John 4:19). Knowing that we are saved is the only good foundation...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Rom 10:13, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

To @DNB concerning the Deity of Christ...

No, it is straight from the Holy Spirit and the word. I hope that you haven't crossed the line into BotHS.

The False Doctrines with OTHER key words

I think that the reality is that because salvation is based on whether we have faith in Jesus Christ, if we don't place our faith in Him and end up in hell, we have only ourselves to blame.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Yet you admit that if someone on their deathbed calls on the name of the Lord, that they shall be saved on their day of judgment. So, this is an exception to the rule that you have set forth. If someone does call on the name of the Lord but has no subsequent works, do they go to heaven or...

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

He did not tell them to leave...they left of their own accord. He told them to cast the first stone if they were sinless....they all left in shame because none of them were... Thus there were no witnesses to the crime. Because the ones to cast the stone in the OT were to be those who...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

yet, it appears to many that Paul was the twelfth apostle.

The False Doctrines with OTHER key words

Although it may indeed be conditioned on perfection, yet it is eternal: Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. This particular passage of scripture is often used by unbelieving sinners to justify a lifestyle of sinning. They misinterpret it to be...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

My position is not that I have personally reached the goal of perfection but that perfection is a reachable goal (Hebrews 10:14 (kjv)). Because if I am indeed perfect, I cannot take the position that I have obtained the goal of perfection...for the attitude of the perfect is that we have room...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Even Jesus, as if to rebuke those who want to insist that salvation is by works, said, in effect, Okay, you want to insist that salvation is by works; if you are going to do that then I tell you that faith is a work and that it is the only work that will save you. (John 6:28-29, my paraphrase)...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

By saying that we are saved by our works you imply that.

    What is "True Religion"?

There is always the possibility that neither person has the backing of the Holy Spirit for their pov...in which case the wrong pov my in fact prevail in any given debate. But in the case where one or both people have the Holy Spirit, the truth will prevail. If one has the Spirit but an...
