Would the US government allow anyone to interpret the US constitution?

See Isaiah 1:18. He said that He made the worlds in Hebrews 1:1-3. So He did not discount the possibility. But having the doctrine of it in only one passage indicates to me that the teaching about it is not central to the salvation message. We should only consider the possibility now and...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Therefore, if you are genuinely saved, you will be obedient. And therefore, if you are not obedient, it is a sure sign that you are not genuinely saved.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

There is the problem of whether the Bible is a viable source. I can see what you are contending for, @Ferris Beuller, But you need to contend for your position without putting in doubt specific verses in the Bible that seem to contradict your pov. Because if those verses are not valid, then...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

1 John 1:8 does not say what you think it does. It is referring to indwelling sin; not practical sins. It does not say that if we say that we do not sin anymore, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. if it did, it would be contradicting 1 John 3:9 and 1 John 3:6 w/ 1 John 2:17. It...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

No. I did not get your "first response" to the reasoning in the post referred to. I also did not post that post previously. But if you have no answer, I suppose that saying that I made the same statements before and that you already answered them is a good deflection so that you don't have...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

I'm going to get some rest...will resume this conversation in the morning if you have anything else to say by then.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

But I do feel that you are judging me over the fact that I take medicine for a psychiatric illness. Also, you, @mailmandan and @Blood Bought 1953. I think that I will pray that you be afflicted with what I have been afflicted with, so that you will be judged accordingly, according to Matthew...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Jesus is the Lord (God in the flesh). A person becomes saved either by calling on the name of the Lord or by believing and being baptized. To merely believe is iffy...but may also do the trick.

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

When the building contains a gathering of His people, it is the pillar and foundation of the truth.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

I am very humble...someone even gave me an award for humility once (and I pinned it up on my wall)...:D

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

If I am a hypocrite for taking my meds...maybe I will go off of them one more time to prove that I am no hypocrite... But I know what that would very likely do...it would take me down from being a minister on these boards, and very likely put me into a mental hospital for an indefinite period...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

There is no hypocrisy on my part, and I am also perfectly calm. I also am not pushing "sinless perfection", that is a misnomer. I am attempting to instruct you in the meekness of the Lord here.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

I am also not trusting in my own righteousness to save me...so this medicine thing is not something where I have to cease taking my meds in order to measure up. As a matter of fact, the Lord gave me a vision of Himself in which He told me to take them and that "We're going to make you better."...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

He died to crucify our flesh (Romans 6:6, Galatians 2:20, Galatians 5:24).

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Indeed He is...and righteousness is a practical thing (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6) given to us as a free gift (Romans 5:15-17).

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

I pray with faith that the Lord will transmute my medicine, as He did the water into wine, so that it isn't pharmakeia; because it is more probable that I will enter into the kingdom through such a thing than that the psychiatrist would take me off of my meds...I am a source of money for his...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Eph 3:20, Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Mar 11:22, And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mar 11:23, For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

See John 15:1-8. If I am righteous and achieve what you call "sinless perfection", it would only be because I am abiding in the vine and drawing up nourishment from the vine. Therefore, yes, I still need the Saviour even if I am walking in freedom (John 8:31-36) and victory (1 Corinthians...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

I do believe that the holy scriptures contradict your pov (Romans 4:5-6, Titus 3:5, Romans 11:5-6, Ephesians 2:8-9). I do have works but I am not saved by them (Romans 4:5-6, Titus 3:5, Romans 11:5-6, Ephesians 2:8-9). We cannot save ourselves by what we do (in the sense of works). The only...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

Actually, the bar was set high...in that the scribes and Pharisees, outwardly, were impeccably righteous. In order to enter the kingdom, we must both have the imputed righteousness of Christ (which is perfect) and we must be regenerated and renewed on the inside so that we have an inward...
