The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

That is not what it says. It says, If we say that we have no sin, period, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. There is no clause saying that you are exempt if you do not have indwelling sin. It is across the board...saying that you do have indwelling sin, whether you are a...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

It doesn't contradict 1 John 3:9. 1 John 3:9 is in reference to practical sins; while 1 John 1:8 is in reference to indwelling sin. That indwelling sin in 1 John 1:8 can be rendered dead is in perfect conjunction with the idea in 1 John 3:9 that the one who is born of God cannot sin. Try to...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

I would say, also, that the latter portion of Mark 16 belongs in holy scripture.

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

Nope. Our gospel is in accordance with what Paul preached in Galatians; yours is contrary to that gospel. If you don't believe me, read through the epistle to the Galatians a few times and try to get the message of that book. You will see that it teaches that salvation is not of...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

While Christ did indeed come to make us perfect (Hebrews 10:14), He did not come to make us sinless (1 John 1:8). We can be perfect although not sinless in that sin is rendered dead within us (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that sin no longer has dominion over us (Romans 6:14).

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

All one needs to do is read Romans 4 and they will see that imputed righteousness is spoken of throughout the chapter. It seems to me that you, @CharismaticLady, are willing to cut these passages out of your Bible with a pair of scissors. To you, it is false doctrine that is spoken of in the...

I think that you have failed to read the verses in question.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

We are not justified through law-keeping but through faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the Cross. Lack of disobedience to the law is the result of faith in Jesus Christ. (not in the sense of looking to obey a set of do's and don'ts, in crossing our t's and dotting our i's; but in...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

The people in the video were taking it to an extreme; But I would say that James 3:7 interprets Mark 16:18 and that this does not mean that we are to tempt the Lord.

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

The Father does indeed look at us through rose (blood) - colored glasses; but the Holy Ghost deals with us according to our sins...He pinpoints them and brings them to our attention in order that we might be sanctified through 1 John 1:9. From the Father's perspective, we are justified before...

If Origen denied the Trinity was he sent by Jesus Christ?

    James: explained

We cannot come to God on the basis of our own merit; but we can come to the Lord on the basis of the imputed merits of Jesus Christ's perfect life and crucifixion in our place.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

I guess you are going to have to wait until it becomes evident that your sin is habitual then before you will be able to see that you are a sinner in need of the Saviour. As opposed to if you sin but once, this telling you that you need Jesus; you will have to commit your sins habitually over a...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1Jo 3:3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1Jo 2:6, He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Jde 1:24, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 2Pe 1:10, Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 1Jo...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 1Th 5:23, And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Th 5:24, Faithful is he that calleth...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

How does such a doctrine find sway if it is not biblically viable? It seems to me that it would be rejected out of hand if there were no biblical support for it.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

To say that we must have works in order to be saved is to teach against the following scriptures: Romans 4:5-6, Titus 3:5 (kjv), Romans 11:5-6, and Ephesians 2:8-9.

Would the US government allow anyone to interpret the US constitution?

First of all, you need to capitalize the word God out of respect for Him. Secondly, the Greek word for "world" in John 3:16 is kosmos; which may indeed mean Universe. I am not reaching in the slightest. God does not ask us to check our brains in at the door when we come to Christ. He wants...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

It is in fact supported by scripture; however you do not accept the scriptures in question as being valid; because you have a preconceived point of view that colors your understanding. If you were my Bible College teacher, I would choose to find my education elsewhere and would consider that...
