The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

Except that there is no one who is sinless (1 John 1:8); while there are those who are perfect (Hebrews 10:14); in that sin, while dwelling in them, is rendered dead (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any dominion over them (Romans 6:14).

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

1Jo 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. I know I just opened up a can of worms. I do believe that the apostle John included himself in his "we" statement.

    It is a biblical phrase.

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

No, I am claiming that I have sin...but that when I am abiding in Christ, it is rendered dead within me (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8). In 1 John 3:6, it is clear that the one who abideth in Him sinneth not. In 1 john 2:17, the one who does the will of God abideth (sinneth not) for...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

As they are gathered together in a building. What is your definition of a house?

    James: explained

@BreadOfLife, For the most part I am basically ignoring you... Although I do not have the Ignore button pressed as concerning your posts and therefore you are not on Ignore per se...it is just that I am not going to be responding to your posts very much unless I feel compelled to do so.

Would the US government allow anyone to interpret the US constitution?

I consider that it may be that the Lord wants us to spread the gospel throughout the Universe. Just as Jesus did not go personally to the American Indians but set the church to be the bearer of the good news to them once we discovered the New World, so, I believe, the Lord wants us to be the...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

It seems to me that the pillar and foundation of the truth is the house of God...where the believers gather together. As for the rest of your post, I don't have much of an answer... I do believe that the different church councils that met to determine church doctrine came up with sound...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

I didn't say sinless...I said perfect. It is the whole concept of imputed righteousness. God credits to the account of the ungodly person, His righteousness, because of their faith (Romans 4:5). Of course, someone who is truly born again of the Holy Spirit will have a changed life. In...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

We receive the Holy Spirit by faith (Galatians 3:14); and the love of the Lord is by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5, Galatians 5:22-23); against such there is no law: and also, the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in those who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:4, Romans...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

I think that scripture contradicts your point (Romans 4:5-6, Titus 3:5, Romans 11:5-6, Ephesians 2:8-9). These verses do not teach us that works are necessary for salvation. They teach us that the Lord will produce holiness in those who are genuinely born again. What is the will of the...

All the fulness of Deity dwells in Him Bodily !

See 1 Corinthians 7:40-b. It is, however, a statement of faith...and faith is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Eph 1:22, And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Eph 1:23, Which is his body, the fulness of him that...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

I sometimes do play both sides of an argument. If we claim to have no sin, we lie...but if we claim that sin is rendered dead within us, we may indeed be telling the truth.

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

If you ever did meet one, they would not say to you that they are perfect (because of 1 John 1:8); and therefore you would be left to figure it out on your own how impeccable they are in their walk with Christ.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

The blood of Jesus does not only justify (as per Romans 5:9)...it also sanctifies (Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 10:29) and cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). Is it possible that, when applied, it would do one thing in us without also doing the other? There is a practical righteousness that is...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

@CharismaticLady, Don't get me wrong. I am very close to believing that sins of the future are not forgiven if they are committed in a willful manner (Hebrews 10:26-31); and I am very close to believing that I must truly repent or else I am not forgiven. The only thing that concerns me is...

The False Doctrine with key word "COVER"

Paul sets it forth as New Testament doctrine in the verses in question...which were taken from King David's statements in Psalms 32 about forgiveness of sins apart from Old Testament sacrifices. And Romans 4 is primarily about justification by faith; not "the law of Moses."

Would the US government allow anyone to interpret the US constitution?

It was early on in the church that the word of God increased; my point was that the New Testament was very likely completed early on in the 1st Century.
