The True God and Eternal Life !

My answer is, that Jesus and the Father are one and the selfsame Spirit.

Therefore, the version you used isn't saying anything different from the kjv...it's just saying it in a different way. He might, through a word of knowledge or prophetic anointing. But more likely, that the child has reached the age of accountability will be recognized by his parents or...

The True God and Eternal Life !

Not the way I see it. The way I see it, it is the same Spirit who inhabiteth eternity who is come in the flesh to incarnate as Jesus Christ. So, they are the same Person. However, there is also a distinction in personalities because one is an eternal Spirit and the other is human and...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Act 28:24, And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. Act 28:25, And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, Act 28:26, Saying, Go unto this people...

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

"No one can come to Jesus except the Father draws him" This does not say that when the Father draws a man to Jesus, he is guaranteed to come to Jesus. It only provides him the opportunity. Have you considered that if the God does not draw every man to Jesus, He is arbitrarily choosing to...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

In the kjv: Col 2:12, Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. . . . 1Ti 6:4, He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Amen. Someday soon there is going to be a voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my children, lest you partake of her sins..."

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Outwardly, their righteousness was impeccable...because they were sticklers for the law. And that is the point that Jesus was making. Compare Matthew 5:48.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

I find that the different Protestant sects are pretty unified in the essentials concerning doctrine... And the only disunity has to do with things like worship style...whether it is radical or calm, liturgical or casual, etc. I believe that the Lord has given us these differences so that...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Colossians 2:12 (kjv) says that salvation through baptism is through faith of the operation of God. It is different for every person...what matters is when the spiritual reality hits that "I am a sinner in need of a Saviour"...then I am accountable to receive the Saviour. The church consists...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees (who were sticklers for the law), you will in no wise enter in to the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:20).

It's about whether it is your cup of tea. There are those who are sticklers for the law and who believe that they have to exercise church discipline at every turn...even in those cases where the infraction is very minor. I would rather err on the side of grace and overlook minor infractions...

You say you don't believe the Rapture is real=then just stay here!!

Nope, if we believe that the rapture is real and are anticipating it...we will be going up...Hebrews 9:28, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Hi @Reggie Belafonte, The scripture is clear that in the last days all of Israel shall be saved; most certainly through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 11:26, John 14:6).

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

"Receiving" is active, "not rejecting" is passive. One does not enter into grace passively, there is an active element to it. In Romans 3:23, all have sinned and "come short" of the glory of God. That is in the present passive indicative. If you are sitting there passively, then you come...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Infant baptism doesn't save...only believer's baptism does (Mark 16:16). Rom 7:9, For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. it speaks of the fact that before reaching the age of accountability we were all spiritually alive without the law...

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

Just what I have been briefly teaching you concerning this. We don't enter in by "not rejecting" the gift. We enter in by receiving it. It is in the active, not the passive, tense.

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

We have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand (Romans 5:1-2). Also see post #270 (John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again")

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

Hey, I love you too. :) Question: if we do not receive salvation as a choice of the free will, then how is it obtained? Do you believe that God arbitrarily decides who is going to go to heaven and who is going to go to hell? Also, are you not aware that the Lord promises salvation to those...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

I believe that Romans 7:9 does in fact give an answer to this question, if you are willing to discern the truth of the matter coming from this scripture.
