    Jesus isn't Catholic

Please note that I am having the same conversation with @Marymog, and that we do not need to be redundant; unless there is some point that has been missed in the conversation.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Since I am primarily Oneness to a strong degree, I believe that baptism in Jesus' Name for the remission of sins is going to be the proper method of salvation (Acts of the Apostles 2:38-39, 1 Peter 3:20-21, Acts of the Apostles 4:10-12, Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:1-4, etc.); while the Bible also...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

I think that you are assuming that Protestants don't partake of communion. A question I have for you is, Does a person have to believe that communion is the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ in order for that communion to be valid as a sacrament? Also, does saying that the priest...

What does the Pope say on the matter?

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

The quickening spoken of is not to the effect of making the person completely born again; rather it works to draw the person to Jesus so that they can make a decision for Him that is unhindered by the fact that the person was formerly dead in trespasses and sins. They are half-way woken up, as...

    Prying Thoughts

Lol....yes, I was referring to Arminus (and his followers), the man who gave his response to Calvinism as a doctrine that was diametrically opposed to it.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

There is an official church organization that consists of those in leadership at any given local congregation; through which church discipline can be enacted if that is your cup of tea.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

No. Only God and that person know whether they truly have a relationship with Him. You can only know for yourself whether you have that relationship...and if you do...then you have an unction from the Holy One (1 John 2:20) and do not need anyone to teach you (1 John 2:27); but the anointing...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

It actually had nothing to do with tradition, what Paul preached. He received his gospel directly as a revelation from the Lord (Galatians 1:12). So it was not passed down to him through the teachings of man (i,e, tradition). You need to check everything by the holy scriptures (Acts of the...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

No, it matters not what a person tells you. What matters is whether they have a genuine relationship with Jesus. If you are trying to figure out who to listen to, I say to you, be a Berean (Acts of the Apostles 17:10-11). If you have received Jesus into your heart and life, then you have a...

You say you don't believe the Rapture is real=then just stay here!!

Not the Trump that we now have in office? :D:p:cool:

    Jesus isn't Catholic

You must place you faith wholly in Jesus and what He did for you in order to be saved. This means rejecting the concept of Mary as co-mediatrix / co-redeemer.

    Prying Thoughts

I find in John 10:27-30 that no one can snatch us out of God's hand. The Armenian then resorts to saying that you can walk away yourself. But I would think that those who have been sealed by the Holy Spirit also have the fear of the LORD. Jer 32:38, And they shall be my people, and I will be...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

I'm familiar with the passage. I see that Jesus is the high priest according to the passage; and that therefore it is possible for there to be lesser priests under Him. However, these are not those designated as priests by the Catholic Church; but rather this refers to all believers (1 Peter 2:9).

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Ok. I'm not sure what you mean by it. I also edited post #623 (Jesus isn't Catholic).

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Actually, brother, in the NT there is the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:9). We go to man on behalf of God, preaching the gospel and seeking to edify the body; and we go to God on behalf of man, seeking to make intercession for the saints according to the will of the Lord and praying...

This is also, not, what I have said.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

It doesn't say that the Bereans relied on oral tradition. It says that they tested, what Paul said to them in his preaching, by the holy scriptures.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

I know I'm butting in; but let me put in my two cents. The true church consists of all those who genuinely place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and what He did for them on the Cross, for salvation.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

We are not the judge of whether someone else has the truth; except that we are to be Bereans (Acts of the Apostles 17:10-11) concerning all teachers. We are also to ask the Lord that He might give unto us the Spirit of truth so that we will be able to properly discern the truth (see Luke...
