    Spotting the Heretic

When a person is declared righteous, they are also made righteous; for it is impossible for the Lord to lie (Hebrews 6:18, Titus 1:2). Being justified for ever, they are made into a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17 (kjv)). So if anyone is truly justified, they are not going to...

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

I have explained it many times and it is not tedious for me to do so again; but for you it is safe. We receive the Holy Spirit by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone (Galatians 3:14). And the love of the Lord is shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5). This love is not in...

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

I think that you are misinterpreting what is written in those books because you are not taking certain scriptures at face value (such as Romans 4:5-6, Titus 3:5 (kjv), and Ephesians 2:8-9).

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

Mine is in 1 Peter 5:10-12 (kjv). But it is also as many godly teachers have defined it, with five definitions that I can think of: 1) getting what we don't deserve (heaven)...as opposed to mercy...not getting what we do deserve (hell). 2) unmerited favour 3) the enabling power of God 4)...

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Justified before man because of works (see Romans 4:2).

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Romans 4:5-6 declares that we are justified by faith apart from works...please explain.

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

Romans 4:5. While, he will receive a glorified body before being allowed into heaven so that immediately before entering in, he will become a disobedient sinner no more.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

I will say to you (for I am not @Behold) that works do in fact please God. They just don't save a man (Ephesians 2:9 and context).

How could the Messiah be sinless?

You say these things contrary to what the Bible teaches (John 1:1-3, John 1:14, Colossians 1:13-17 (kjv), Philippians 3:9 (kjv), Isaiah 44:24 (kjv), etc.)

How could the Messiah be sinless?

No; Mark 1:3 was the fulfillment of Isaiah 40:3. As such, you have to see that the Messiah (Jesus Christ) is Jehovah God. I believe that it is only your preconceived notion that He cannot be, that prevents you from seeing this plain fact of holy scripture.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

If the queen has sent you a personal letter, you obviously have a relationship with her. It is not a matter of Jesus being dead; but of Him being away on a journey. He went to receive a kingdom and told us to occupy until He comes back again. He left us a set of instructions that we are to...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

It might be good for @DNB and others who agree with him to compare Mark 1:3 in its context with Isaiah 40:3. In each of these scriptures, who is John the Baptist preparing the way for? There is only one answer. Let's see if you can catch it.

    2nd Timothy 1:10

God did indeed deal with the condemnation of the law (from the outside, as written on tablets of stone) by what He said in such verses as Romans 6:14, Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19, Romans 7:6, Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14, and Hebrews 7:18-19. However, the law did not cease to (in fact, it...

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

Romans 4:5-8 teaches us that we are justified by faith, regardless of our performance. Iow, our sins are covered. You have a new identity in Christ; God has declared you to be righteous even when you are ungodly. Now, go and live like your new identity (not the old).

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

I am a sinner who has been set free from the power of sin; in effect, a sinner who doesn't sin. It has been said that we sin because we are sinners and not that we are sinners because we sin. Therefore, I am a sinner even though I don't sin for the most part; because if I am not "a sinner...

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

Yes; in the sense that I am indwelt by the element of sin. No; in the sense that as one who is born of God, I "do not commit sin" and "cannot sin" (1 John 3:9).

@Behold, would you expound the following:

Still waiting for @Behold's exegesis of the verses in question.

How to understand " Gift of Tongues", vs "prayer language".

Friend, I have not fought against you tooth and nail. I have even said that there are some things written by you that I agree with. But the things that I do not agree with, I have shown from scripture the reasons why. You have yet to exegete 1 John 1:7-9 for us all, in the thread that I wrote...
