How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

Well.. Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forever.. isn't about healing and miracles etc.. it's about his unerring nature and promises. Again.. the context is key. It's not a verse that stands alone. The context isn't about signs, miracles and wonders.

How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

Not so rare... that's an unearned, unmerited, unfavoured gift from Jesus to those who entrust their salvation with Him. There are millions and millions of people who have received Jesus as their Saviour.. genuinely. John 3:16 and Romans 10

How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

Healing .. biblical healing.. as in a miracle is very rare. Contrary to popular belief there aren't miracles happening all the time. Take deception, psychosomatic healing and recovery over a period of time out of the equation and real biblical miracle healings are very rare. It isn't a lack...

How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

What I'm saying is the context of the verse isn't about Jesus saving us eternally. It's about deliverance from hard times.. that's the context of 'he who endures to the end will be saved'.. it's deliverance from trials during end times. Not about receiving eternal life.

How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

It's really common to use this verse 'he who endures to the end will be saved '.. but this is save as in deliverance from trials. Not eternal deliverance

All we need is the LORD Jesus to be saved

He who believes on the Lord Jesus shall be saved. Now.. that does not mean.. if you stumble after believing on the Lord Jesus you are no longer saved. It's a done deal. John 3:16,3:36,5:24 Romans 5:8 Romans 10 After salvation.. there isn't a set of rules you MUST abide by. That's works...

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

Most believers in the NT joined a church. Saints.. were pretty much faithful church members. 1 Co 12 though.. Paul calls the church at Corinth the body of Christ. That's a local and visible assembly of saved, baptized believers. Also 'the ' in front of body of Christ' could be taken away...

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

Invisible and universal church.. is a Protestant idea.. that's right. It's calling the Family and Kingdom the same thing as the body of Christ. What I'm talking about with the visible church though.. is purely local churches.. Some believers aren't in it.

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

The whole global every believer entity.. that isn't the body of Christ. That's part of the Family of God. So an independent Christian is part of the Family.. not part of a body of Christ till they join a biblical church.

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

The beliefs of the NT churches can be found out thru Jesus ' teachings and Paul's admonishments and rebukes to the churches. That's realistic

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

That's got to be objective. Looking at faithful churches in the NT and seeing if their church believes as they do.

How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

You know you are saved, because you have believed Jesus is God, He died and rose again.. and that by entrusting your salvation with Him you have eternal life. What does it say in the book of John? Joh_17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus...

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

Jesus and His disciples-- the first church. They gathered at Jerusalem. The likes of Peter became leader at the church at Jerusalem. The Jews that received the Word here were added to this church.

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

Gnostics don't believe Jesus is God. They elevate themselves with their own knowledge. Probably think they are their own God. I am not sure. How do you interpret the bible? By asking questions like who is talking to whom? What is the subject? What is the occasion? What is the time and...

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

Yeah.. the tongues speaking in Acts 2 was earthly languages. Not gibberish. What people heard was their own language being spoken to spread God's gospel. And yeah.. the Jews aren't all included in those converted. Some did get converted but not all

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

These churches mostly had greater care for their members also than what you see today. In Acts a church gets everyone putting their possessions in a pool and then giving to those in need. So no one was too poor. The Colossians and Phillipi churches were commended by Paul for their love and...

    Eternal salvation and 'the church'

(Act 2:38) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Act 2:39) For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the...

Why do Christians ignore Matthew 5:23-24

Yes, I think we all do. Applying the process for discipline rarely happens. I have been through it myself though as the person being disciplined.

Why do Christians ignore Matthew 5:23-24

Well, if they are actually already saved.. then that would still stand.. that's the grace part. But.. they would get kicked out of their local church ..excommunicated if they would not listen and change. That's the last part of the Matthew 18 process. 'Let them be a publican'.. that's kicking...

Why do Christians ignore Matthew 5:23-24

Reading how God desires unity in a local church, forgiveness and reconciliation would be a great part of that. Members having care for each-other, together, interconnected.. a solid unit for Jesus. There does come a point though where the sin in another member becomes a real problem and they...
