Here's what @WPM believes about Daniel 9:27: Daniel 9:26-27 says, “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah (mashiyach) be cut off, but not for himself, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall...

A Biblical Lesson on Spiritual Discernment

You're misquoting. It's "the people of the prince that shall come". Messiah is that prince also. He came several hundred years after Daniel wrote. One prince.

One in Daniel 9:24-27. Messiah the Prince.
  15. C

A Biblical Lesson on Spiritual Discernment

True. Reference to Messiah's crucifixion does not preclude continued reference to Him. The reference is to "the people of the prince", not "the prince of the people". Via grammatical referent back to verse 25, the prince continues to be Messiah. "The people of the prince that shall come"...

A Biblical Lesson on Spiritual Discernment

Grammatical referents. "He" refers back to "prince" refers back to "Messiah the Prince".

A Biblical Lesson on Spiritual Discernment

    Neither is in Daniel 9:24-27.

Messiah is the only Individual identified as a prince.
