Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

As usual you are evading the point for some reason, Epi, while mischaracterizing the one you are responding to. This is a pattern with you.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Sister, rest assured I don't think God is concerned one bit about whether anyone knows how to turn on cookies or not. ( I dont' even understand what they are or how they work!) But He does care about the truth and He cares about souls. His attitude in His word towards the truth is not careless...

A bit of a mess in the White House.

Brother I happened to come across a false prophetess on You-tube yesterday.....she was predicting that believers and unbelievers would unite to somehow usher in a great move of God or words to that effect. So many Christians were supporting her video. I left a comment reminding them of the...

A bit of a mess in the White House.

"All the world's a stage..." as Shakespeare wrote. Illusion. And meanwhile there is also a lot more going on backstage that the audience can't see. Well, there are practical things do need attending to, as best as fallen man can try to do at least. As long as we don't mistake those practical...

A bit of a mess in the White House.

Have faith and hope in a temporal world that is disintegrating and appointed to wrath? No thanks sister. We are to have our faith, hope, affections and eyes above, not here below. No place on earth is exempt, sadly. The nation called America is no more exempt than those nations we consider...

    The taken and the left

The way that whole passage is written makes me wonder if it is referring to the old man/new man, because the examples Jesus gave were always two of the same gender together...at His coming one will be taken and the other left. I don't know which is which though.

    The taken and the left

I believe earth and land are allegorical for the temple of the body/soul.....our earthen vessel.....so that inheriting the earth/land is a veiled reference to inheriting eternal life.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I truly don't know what agitation or upset you are talking about. But I appreciate you sharing your testimony. The way I understand this, it is a kind of paradox, sister. And the truth in heaven trumps facts on the ground. I think it is our desire to be pleasing to the Lord that motivates...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

No I'm not at all upset. I suppose you thought you were hearing from the Holy Spirit. I don't believe at all that I am perfect and lacking nothing in my life and heart and walk. Still have things to overcome and I only know it because the Lord is faithful and gracious to shine His light for...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Faith IS the substance. Of things HOPED FOR. Faith IS the evidence of things NOT SEEN. The substance is faith, not what is seen. Epi as much as said if you can't see it, it's not evidence....equating it to the courts of this world who have to see it to believe it. I certainly agree there is...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I think I did understand what he said, however he is certainly free to clarify if there is a misunderstanding. Go back to what I posted and then what he posted in reply. #121 and #122 on this page 7. I shared the scripture that says Faith is the substance of things HOPED FOR, and the evidence...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

You seem to be ignoring and even went out of your way to leave out the point that I was making. Let me repeat it: "I am pointing out another side of the story. Where we do not yet "see" God's intervention, does not mean faith is not genuine, or that the promise is untrue." Do you agree or...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I don't leave that out of "my paradigm" at all. True believers have works....our very first work after believing with our heart is to confess with our mouth. Our lives change. But we are not perfected yet in the beginning. We begin to embark on a journey of FAITH and begin to draw from the...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Your sarcasm is noted. Here is what he said: "Faith on the other hand comes with God's confirmation...a translation, a visitation, a spiritual gift etc That's how we know we have faith and not beliefs....God's intervention." I am pointing out another side of the story. Where we do not yet...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Yes, but until then, it doesn't nullify the truth that all things HAVE already been put under His feet......as the scripture clearly says.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Only a "certain element of truth"? It is what the bible says and shows. Therefore it is a valid part of the story. Someone here is denying certain important truths in the word of God on the basis of whether or not it can be "seen". There are things that Jesus HAS accomplished on the cross...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Yes I agree we need to die to ourselves too. But you are not addressing the point I was making. As happens a a lot. Episkopos says if there is faith we can expect to see it manifested immediately. And I am pointing out, that is not always the case. (There are so many examples in the bible.)...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Careful brother. Don't forget there is another side to this. Jesus DIED in faith. No miracle could be seen when He was hanging on the cross. Nothing manifested until 3 days later. Job said, though He slay me yet will I trust Him. Faith gets tested and tried. Let PATIENCE have her...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

The scripture says that faith IS the evidence. And faith IS the substance. Of things not yet manifested but hoped for. We are to walk by faith, not by sight. You don't seem to be understanding what those verses are saying. God called Abraham the father of many nations.......long before it...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Speaking of understanding, I wonder how many understand this? That faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. And that though all things have been put under the feet of Jesus , we do not yet (necessarily) see all things put under His feet. There is a...
