    IS THERE ONLY WATER BAPTISM?

Yep. I have issues. Taking the bible verbatim at it's word without going WAY out of my way as some do here in feeble attempts to try to make the scriptures agree with what I choose to believe as opposed to agreeing with tge bible. If it was simple when written and when practiced by those 2000...

    IS THERE ONLY WATER BAPTISM?

That it does that's why I sometimes stop responding to morons

    IS THERE ONLY WATER BAPTISM?

Was John's baptism in water? YES Was the Ephesian's re-baptism in the Lord's name in water? If YES, why? Why not the Holy Ghost then? Why did they get baptized in water again if there's only one baptism and it's not by water as you continuously and erroneously claim? Didn't the Holy Ghost fall...

    IS THERE ONLY WATER BAPTISM?

Read the account of the Ephesians re-baptism in Acts 19 which I've posted below. In verse 3 when they were asked what baptism they had been baptized in, they responded John's baptism. Question: what was John's baptism? Was it in water? They were then explained further about John's baptism in...

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

The Ethiopian eunuch called upon the name of the Lord and was saved as recorded in Acts 8, as also required by Romans 10:8-10; but what else was required that the Ethiopian eunuch did? He was asked to confess his belief, which he did, but then was baptized into Christ. How did he know that...

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

Acts 2:38 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 22:16 16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name...

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

It's by immersion in the water that enables contact with the Spirit, so, no baptism into Christ, no contact with the Spirit whuch means no cleansing of sin, no contact with the cleansing power of Christ's blood.

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

The thief was forgiven by Christ as he forgave others while alive, under the OT! Baptism wasn't a requirement of salvation until Christ died, at which poitgd NT began. Read Hebrews 9:16-17 16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17For a testament...

    DOES WATER BAPTISM FORGIVE SINS?

John's baptism was not into Christ which is why the Ephesians were re-baptized in Acts 19 And Jesus was alive when he forgave the thief on the cross meaning the NT was not yet in effect, so, the thief was forgiven as were others during Jesus' earthly ministry. Read Hebrews 9:16-17. NT began...

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

You're not saved until baptized into Christ when sins are remitted. Scripture no where says what you stated. Your statement is untrue
  12. D

    DOES WATER BAPTISM FORGIVE SINS?

Scripture does not say that anywhere.
  13. D

    DOES WATER BAPTISM FORGIVE SINS?

Yes. After belief and faith, those who believed were then obedient to the gospel and were baptized into Christ, becoming not just believers, but Christians and children of God, and members of the body of Christ which is his church.
  14. D

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

Exactly. We're baptized into Christ; no other way. So, by one's belief which us followed by faith, we then are obedient to the gospel, and repent and are baptized into the body of Christ and become Christians, children of God, and members of the body of Christ which is his church.

    DOES WATER BAPTISM FORGIVE SINS?

Fyi regarding entry into the church Acts 2:47 47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved Read the entire text from 2:38. You clearly see the process. The Jews believed and were told to repent and be baptized

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

When we are "in Christ" you said. How do we get to be "in Christ"? What scripture(s) tell you how one gets "in Christ"?
  17. D

    DOES WATER BAPTISM FORGIVE SINS?

I'm not doing anything of the kind; I'm considering ALL scripture on the subject, and when you do baptism is an absolute necessity of salvation as is belief and faith, repentance, confession of belief, AND immersion in water (baptism). All of the aforementioned.
  18. D

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

That's what you say but that's not specifically what this scripture says. My statement still remains. If you're in sin you can't be saved until the sin is removed, so, what scripture tells you how/when and at what point your sins are removed? It's not the one you posted.
  19. D

    BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM

So, what is your point by posting this scripture? Are you insinuating we need to do nothing at all?
  20. D

    DOES WATER BAPTISM FORGIVE SINS?

Goodbye. You've clearly demonstrated you don't know what you're talking about.
