Them your entire theory falls down for the same reason. You can't dispense with the commandment while claiming rest. It's both, or nothing.

Were you not the one who was justifying your rejection of a commandment on the basis of your belief you were honouring it spiritually? Why not be consistent with all the commandments? Scrap them all in favour honouring them in your mind, but not with your body?

If the sabbath day is no longer holy, sacred, or blessed, then you ought to be able to show everyone a "thus saith the Lord" as evidence of that. Otherwise, the only authority for any change is your own understanding.
