What's the Weather Like in your part of the world Right Now?

This place is on fire. Between 25 and 40 over the last couple weeks. Centigrade. No green grass here unless you hose the garden. Brown, dry, dull, underwhelming. But I love the heat.

Is it okay to blame God for stuff that is his fault?

The fact that they did not eat of the tree of life after they sinned shows there is no such thing as an immortal sinner. Adam and Eve did die. That they didn't die that very day is due to the grace of God giving them an opportunity to repent. Yet they did die spiritually. No longer could they...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Agree with much of what you say here, until your statement that Jesus was eternal in the past. This contradicts His being begotten. Now I agree with you regarding Him having been begotten, brought forth of the Father, of the same nature and character....kind begetting kind. I liken it to...

Is it okay to blame God for stuff that is his fault?

They call it afterlife? Have you ever heard of biblical first mention? Genesis sets the template for the rest of scripture. Creation sets the template for the nature of man. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

I don't doubt that. And every other day of the week. But they were still honouring the Sabbath as well. Paul had prophesied that apostasy would take place soon after his departure. He said there would be a falling away from the truth. One doesn’t have to read very far in early church history...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Yet in the following post, you claim to have lived up them. Are you the only one then on this entire forum what had managed to overcome sin? Are you saying that the promise made by scripture that Jesus came to save us from our sins only applies to you? Why are you so intent on boasting of your...

You are assuming they don't understand. Why?

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

The whole purpose of the gospel was to create in God's people hearts to obey. “2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of...

Is it okay to blame God for stuff that is his fault?

That is an interesting and deeply thoughtful expression. The exposing of false worship in the last days, in the face of immense persecution and the hatred of all nations, will encapsulate all last days scenarios. Revelation 12,13 and 14 explode with what you term, false solemnity.

Is it okay to blame God for stuff that is his fault?

That's a ferocious lesson. We think that God is so kind and patient that there are no ramifications for unrepentant disobedience. But the wages of sin is still death, regardless our Christian profession. Even for prophets.

Is it okay to blame God for stuff that is his fault?

Adam wasn't deceived. He went into the taste test with eyes wide open. Problem though, his eyes were wide open toward Eve, and didn't trust God to fix things should he disobey.

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Yes, but not as early as some would suppose. The change took several centuries, and even then it took coercion by the church and state, starting from the 5th century. But there were many who stayed firm in obedience to scripture.

And He was dead. Until the resurrection. Death does not mean alive elsewhere.

“31 But @saved by grace 101 , which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Wherefore? Because he sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For he stumbled at that stumblingstone; 33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion...

Is it okay to blame God for stuff that is his fault?

Jesus was in the grave for 3 days. The proper interpretation is that the Lord did indeed preach to those sinners before the flood who are now dead, but He did so when they were alive and had the ability to hear with their ears and repent. And the Lord accomplished that through His prophet...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Can i explain the context as to why I chose the name Brakelite? Short version, when you see a brake-light light up in front of you on the highway, it isn't telling you what to do. It's merely waking you up to make a choice. You have options. Stop. Advance cautiously. Overtake and take your...
