    Explain that context more please.

The Asbury ‘Surprising Work of God’

I've already watched the original chapel service video and you are putting too much emphasis on experience rather than scripture. My mention of self affirming prayers instead of prayers of repentance were of people from the actual "revival" as well as so called "casting out of demons." I...

This one is more about what a revival is and is not in general.

The Asbury ‘Surprising Work of God’

The very verses you referenced included repentence: Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 3:19 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/act.3.19.KJV

I was pointing out that self affirming prayers instead of prayers of repentance does not count as revival, especially when they affirm homosexuality.

Revival comes by hearing the gospel and repenting which firm believers do daily.

Thank you for the reply. There are a lot of videos out there that expose Asbury Revival those are just a couple. The second one I posted is pretty comprehensive and has a panel of four or so theologians christian leaders analysing the issues. My advice to the readers, do your own research there...

The Asbury ‘Surprising Work of God’

I heard video of a young lady praying a prayer at the "revival" and the prayer wasn't one of repentance before a Holy God (which is what happens at a true revival) instead she was praying self-affirmation prayers.

Has anyone noted that: They haven't preached the gospel or repentence and there are openly homosexuals leading worship.

    Street preaching

Bingo! I was asking for opinions that is the reason I was going to wait for us to get to that conclusion cause I know it would be the end of the discussion. To answer Gen2Rev I am not planning on street preaching. Well folks, carry on with the discussion keeping in mind that Enoch pretty much...

    Street preaching

Whether or not it is the spirit or the flesh would depend on each individual circumstance. But that question alone leads me to think that there is a place for street preaching because if the Spirit leads something, in those cases it isn't wrong.

    Legalism in religion

Check out this illustration Two men jumped as high as they could towards the moon. Man 1: "I jumped three feet towards the moon." Man 2: "I jumped five feet towards the moon." Man 1: "Well, neither of us can reach the moon huh?" That is how futile self-righteousness looks from God's perspective.

What Are we Getting Saved From?

About which of us are part of the many or part of the few; I guess we will see when it all pans out in the end. Only God has the last and only say.

What Are we Getting Saved From?

You don't even have the courage to admit what religion you are, and you want my christian apologetics that you have already denied in this thread. Jesus is God and hell is real. End of story. Without faith it's impossible to please God.
